Hi Folks.....just bought a 2009 1125R and seriously considering (regretfully) trying to sell my Firebolt to help offset the cost, and besides I can only ride one at a time. After 8 fun filled seasons on the XB9R I've got just a tad under 23K miles on her (I'm original owner). I've got brand new Continental Road Attack's both front and rear, and also have the Buell race kit installed (Air cleaner, ECM and muffler) paid close to $500.00 for the kit if I recall correctly. Also have a Buell smoked front windshield. The bike is extremely clean (white w/ blue) and has always been professionally serviced at local Buell dealer. All service bulletins have been complied with. I've been watching auctions on eBay, but very few bikes sell and when they do, it seems like the sellers are just giving them away. What is a fair price to expect for my bike if I do get the nerve to decide and let her go? Any input is appreciated. Thanks! |

2k-4k depending on shape, with 2k being real rough, salvage, etc, and 4k being showroom new. So, $3k-3500 sounds reasonable just going based off your description. |

Air cleaner, ECM and muffler are better sold separate from the bike. You won't get any extra with them on it. The price on Ebay is usually a good indicator of what it is worth. You may as well hold on to it for a couple more years. Just my opinion. We pre-fire-sale people paid what they were worth back then. Not a good investment unless you planned on keeping it. |

The only way to get extra on those parts is if you have the stock parts to go with the bike. Without the stock parts it can actually hurt the price since not everyone can/will deal with the louder exhaust. Too bad I'm not in a position to buy a track bike right now. I paid 3K last fall for my 03 9R with 6400 on it if this helps (or hurts). |

Track it bro. I'd sell my kidneys before I sold my 9R Nah seriously though, 23k is quite a bit of miles. My 03 had around 5k miels and paid around $5k for it with full fairing and customized. Maybe a part time job can help? I took up nights weekends as a valet and helped me get on top of my bills. Craigslist has a lot of oppurtunites for part time jobs and one-off paying gigs (catering, working events). Cencus work also pays very well for a temporary/pt job. I just paid 2800 for my 03 with 17000. Good thing mine's not for sale, at that rate I'd have to pay someone to buy it... |

also if you could consider holding out until summer...with a nice riding season AND gas prices going up....itll be your best time of year to sell the bike at the highest price |

Well, NADA on my XB9R is about $2900 and I see others paying $2800 for lower mileage models. I ain't gonna give my bike away.....I'm not desperate. Hell, I'd rather keep it and just look at it from time to time before I sell for $2800. Besides....it will look cool in the garage parked next to it's younger, but bigger sibling the 1125R, both of the white & blue color scheme. Actually, I think I'm going to start looking for a white Blast for my fiance to learn on and someday soon she can ride the Firebolt, with myself occasionally riding....I love the bike and it was my first Buell! |

it was your first buell, keep it for sure. I'm sure that it is worth more sentimentally than it is current market value. I know that my 03 will probably never be sold because I would want more than anybody would pay for it. |
