OK - installing EBR shock and have been bugging the hell out of Michael over there with all my questions. I need to get the swingarm to move down more than it is already - can someone smarter than me tell me what the limiting factor is to how far the swingarm can move down? Belt? Hitting muffler? I'm stumped. |

The shock goes out and in from the top, rotate the subframe down a bit to make some room. |

Yep, already did that, but the ebr shock is 5mm longer than stock and the swingarm doesn't swing down low enough to get the bottom mount flush with the swingarm mount. What is keeping the swingarm from moving down all the way? |

Check the muffler clearance and if you need to remove it, then check the belt by seeing if the swing arm bounces as the belt stretching and returning. If it is then remove the belt. Make sure you don't damaged any wires or connectors. Hope that helps. Good Luck! |

The tire is hitting the back of the muffler, try letting the air out of the tire and that might get you the clearance you need. That's the best case. If not remove the muffler and remove the belt tension pulley. |

I installed my new Ohlins today (thanks Al @ American Sportbike!) and it was a breeze. I took someone else's advice and unscrewed the left side upper subframe bolt and tilted the subframe back to gain the clearance I needed. It seriously was one of the easiest shock changes I've ever done. Good luck! |
