I know some of the later models 08-09? had the blacked out forks and triple tree. I was thinking of throwing some of these on my 05 (Blue and Amber)but was curious to see how it would look. Has anyone out there done this or maybe one of you photoshop wizards could cook something up. Much thanks in advance for any pictures.

@Randle. I got my whole bike powdercoated black, unfortunetly could not afford the last bit - the forks. Everything on my bike (frame, swing) is black but those. Part of the cost was removal, draining and re-oiling the forks and put the costs way up there. If you don't want to buy new black forks or used ones, get them PC'd black by a shop. But do the removal and draining yourself to save some cash. That's my plan.

I'm thinking about getting the rims powder coated black. The amber has started to flake really bad on the front. As for the forks I had an incident where someone kicked the bike over in the parking lot of my apartment. I sweat that it tweaked the forks or triple tree. Looking straight on it seems like top triple tree is off. I took it back into the dealer after the insurance paid once to fix it. They handed it back after a couple hours saying it was fixed, but I swear something is wrong. I think a blacked out bike with the blue plastic would look sick, so I figure I would start with the forks since I think I need to work on them anyways.

Triple tee is cheaper to fix than forks!!! It would look very good bro. Do it up! Use the service manual and remove the parts yourself and save some $$$$$. Alotta the costs for my bike were labor of taking the bike apart. I have the service manual now and won't be spending anymore $$ on having someone else take apart my bike, jsut the actual paint/PC.

Good luck!
