Before i call my dealer.(cringe) Anyone else having these issues? i have nearly got my 600 break in miles on my new bike and planning a 12 day riding trip to nc. I don't know if i will have enough room for my xb9 and the 1125. Really want to carve with the 1125 but i noticed a few really odd things. yesterday i had a check engine light pop on. I did do the denoid and the resistor. If it tried to actuate does it turn the check engine light on? My dealer has no charging harness recall parts the on Back order i guess. I did scroll through the cluster it was charging and temps where all good when the light came on. About 5 times in this first 600 miles i have had it miss 6th gear and rev. Not sure if it is me or there is really a trans issue but i was riding little hard last night and reved the shit out of it when it happened. |

If you denoid and use the resistor, you will still get a CEL when the actuator attempts to activate. Missing 6th is user error, I can bang it into the false neutral on command, its quite useful for coasting. |

Go into diagnostic mode: hold down the mode and toggle buttons simultaneously while turning the ignition key to "on". The first item as you scroll through the diagnostics on the instrument cluster will be the specific codes that set the check engine light off. What are they? |

Mine comes on quite frequently when cold - that and the LFL, I mentioned it when I was in the dealsership on the weekend and they'll take a look at it when it's in for the 620 mile service (soon). It's a known issue with some, I believe a replacement IC is the only real cure. If it's happening when cold (a minute or so after startup) and goes off a few mins later than it's the same as mine (and others). Post the codes up when you get them and I'll compare them to mine. |

Thanks i new there was a way to pull codes. how do i clear them? Current codes Low fuel sensor error (I know when this happened and it only did it twice) IAC system error F-R AF system error . I am an auto mechanic and the last one scares me.I have the barker slip on and a kn air filter. I have noticed it been running a little different but i assumed it is loosening up. just seems odd the only time i ever get a false neutral is going into 6th (not a new rider by any means road 15k last year on my xb9)But i also realize this is a completely different bike. if i do take it south i let me brother in law ride it some he has raced some moto gp see if it happens to him. Thanks any tips appricated |

i looked through the live data f af adapt 116 r af adapt 105 iac on start up 200 drops to 100 after a 20 seconds to about 100 witch seems right compared to a car. I forgot this But i have also gotten the electrical system error on start up where it half crank and displays the error. let off starter then starts i haven't had this since the weather has gotten warmer. But the light just popped on hile riding after about a half hour yesterday stopped shut it off restart no light (Message edited by R/T_Performance on April 06, 2010) |

You can clear the codes using ECMSpy if you have it and a cable and feel like getting into all of that, or they will clear themselves after a certain number of ignition cycles (50 I think). |
