I noticed a few scuffs on the plastics. And the seat bolt on right is side was and stripped. Also,I asked them to check the flash after they did the harness upgrade and they said it was current. The newest flash came out two weeks after I bought it. Is this after a service? If so don't just go up and start freakin out. Have a well thought out and articulated talk with the service manager. If he's no luck then ask to speak with the store manager/owner. Hopefully they see the damage and make it right. |

Yes,it was after the harness upgrade.I didn't see the scuffs in the bright sunlight, and did check out the bike when I picked it up,but didn't think to look at the seat bolts. |

Part of the harness update is an update to the flash, if they did the upgrade you will have the newest flash |

Part of the harness update is to ENSURE you have the latest flash. I already had the 152 flash for my CR when I got the harness update. |

If they damaged the seat bolt then demand they repair it...Start of being polite obviously but be firm and stand your ground. And then get a seat retention kit from Americansportbike: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A16501.html It'll simplify seat removal and stop it happening again |

Jules, that kit looks pretty trick, do you have it and if so what's your opinion? |

I have it and it's fantastic... There's actually a small amount of underseat storage that you can then make use of 'cause the seat pops off in moments.. Definately a useful investment (especially as those captive nuts have a bad habit of stripping) |

That kit is awesome. I have had it for over a year now and it works great and makes putting the seat on and taking it off a breeze. Well worth the money. |

Its just a matter of time before the seat bolt threads strip and the same goes for the airbox cover bolt holes. I've already stripped one of them and also one of the seat bolt holes. The upgrade kit is the way to go it looks like, so I'd better buy one. This problem was an engineering oversight that should have been caught a long time ago. |
