Not sure if this has been posted before. CORRECTION: My Beloved Buell was killed by a golfer, not a golfer killed by a Buell. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?artic le=39962 (Message edited by socalmoe on April 06, 2010) |

Thanks. I would have seen that at some point today as check out RRW.com at least once a day, but its awesome John Ulrich would post up something like that on his site. Seems like lots of people have Erik's back. I hate this Wandell more and more as information becomes available. What an . |

God damn that Barracuda is a sweet looking bike. While HD may never get involved in sportbikes ever again (very likely), maybe if HD feels enough backlash about killing Buell they might relent to letting EB use the HD-owned intellectual property to build the Barracuda. Wishful thinking obviously. |

yeah. How Buell was killed by a golfer. But, I am not one to speak; I write terribly. I have made improvements but I have a lot more to learn and correct. |

I'm assuming that Socalmoe was trying to name the thread "How a golfer killed my beloved Buell" ... that golfer being Keith Wandell. On another note, did anyone notice the chain drive on the Barracuda 2??? Interesting.....

No hydro clutch ether nor is there much of a seat I guess you don't really sit on it when your racing. |

I'm continuing the thread jack. sorry Under the tail, in between the passenger foot peg brackets, is that an alternative license plate bracket? |

That's what I thought but it looks like it has a couple of holes in it that would be just about right for a license plate. |

the b2 was going to be chain drive according to the artical it was to save weight about 3lbs off the rear wheel. also the clip-ons where going to be mounted below the top clamp it was supposed to mimic the gsxr ergonomics for seating just picked up a copy of the mag. a few days ago. the rest i dont know but the bike looks amazing. |

The CW article also revealed that Erik Buell gets the chance to start selling street bikes again, approximately one year from now. I didn't know this, and man, that got me excited. HD needs to die. This is justice. It may be reborn, rising up from the ashes as something else. But it needs to die now. |

Harley does not need to die, we (america) do not need more people out of work. Quit being bitter about their decision to cancel buell and focus on the positive. |

I agree H-D as a whole does not but if there CEO did for some reason I would not be sad at all. |

When Buell rises again they should rename it Phoenix Motor Company. No company has had to rise from the ashes like Buell. Here's to the hope of resurrection and a brighter future without being saddled by HD's narrow mindedness. |

What does Wandell care? He made $6.4M for eight months' work according to the article. But I do love the bike. And I love the trellis tail section - long live the tuber!!! LOL |

From this title I got the impression a wayward ball got sucked into one of those gynormous throttle bodies and grenaded the Helicon...but nooooo...it's about Wandell. |

Except it's cast magnesium Do you know how hard it is, knowing about the details of the bike nearly a year ago, and NOT being able to tell anyone? I was involved with several tooling projects on that bike. It was a fun 6 months<sigh> |

Harley does not need to die, we (america) do not need more people out of work. Quit being bitter about their decision to cancel buell and focus on the positive. You're right, America needs to keep people employed, no matter what. Even when said company is an aberration, whose name *used to* mean something, producing ridiculous motorcycles and selling them to biker-boy wannabees who truck their bikes into Sturgis for the big rally then ride around pretending they got there on two wheels. Meanwhile, Buell was the only authentic item HD had. Bitter I am, and I am sorry if I offended. But the demise of Buell is just the tip of the iceberg. |

I really think this bike could have been the one that pushed Buell truly into the main stream. Did Eric get to keep one of these? or did they all go to the crusher? |
