Sunny and warm today down in the flatlands but a little windy. Hit the Ba- Da- Bing up in the mountains and sipped a stout while checking out my friends restored Norton. God I just have to say how much I really love my Lightning! I hit 135 on the way home. It snowed like hell up there but was sunny once I got below 7000 feet. I cant wait for warmer days and longer rides. |

I wish it was snowing here, it was too hot to ride (hit 74°) so I stayed indoors today. |

Too hot to ride here is anything above 110, but thats just me. I see riders in that and higher. Not sure what manly contest they are trying to win. |

I have no choice where I live, (Phoenix), the summers typically provide 115 degree days from July to September. It's above 100 degrees for about 6 months, but the winters are great! Today will be in the 80's so I will be out riding for sure. |

Ever hear of mesh riding garments? It got up to 80 here and I was out for a nice long ride with boots, pants, jacket, and gloves on. Also had jeans and a thin long sleeve shirt so I could get a good idea of riding to and from work. Wasn't too bad. |

I think I am part polar, I rode nearly every day all winter long down in well below freezing temps, and enjoyed every moment of it, now all the sudden it wants to get hot out, and I haven't adjusted. I went out for a nice ride today, but mostly in the evening when it cooled off a bit. I will just have to HTFU till they decide to make the Entrosys thing something other than vaporware |

There are systems that you could use if you really want cooling. There are several water based systems used in racing that you could adapt to a cycle if you really wanted to be cooled. Finding a place for the water/air heat exchanger might be the hard part, but the electrical system should be able to handle the power required for the water pump. Add an active solid state cooling device to the system would help prevent heat soak as the temperature rises, but there are limits to a system like this. Racers use an ice box to cool the water, but find room for that on a cycle. The problem with a retro fit conventional AC system on a cycle is the horsepower required to drive the compressor, where do you grab it? Then you get into the weight of the compressor and a bunch of other things, it just isn't that simple. |
