Mine just left to get the new subharness/relay installed. You're saying that when the bike key is On (but not running), the relay clicks when you push/roll the bike? Wondering how the relay would know whether it's sitting still or rolling ... This isn't an April Fools post is it Mike |

Does it stop when the engine is running (I know it'd be hard to hear it over the motor)... That seems really odd... |

no april fools and i don't think it trips it when the bike is running.... yeah it is friggin' loud with an FMF slip on! I wonder if the relay is getting a signal from the slow rotation of the rear tire/transmission and a sensor is pulsing?? BTW this is clutch in or out. yours does this as well captain? |

Not that I know of.. Lemme check real quick, Hold on.... Nope. nothing, while rolling backwards or forewards. Could just be a bad relay... Sometimes they do that. You could check the voltage going to terminal 85 and 86. those are the poles that turn it on and off. But if its buzzing then a standard DMM wont read fast enough to show a problem. You could plug a 12 volt light bulb into it (such as a wedge 194) if its bright then your good. If its dim then there could be a problem. Swap the relay out first though and see if it goes away. |

Please, let us know what you find. I had emailed sales today at EBR to pick up the ECM in person. I might wait a little bit if they need to be tweaked to work with the new harness. |

Anyone else with the EBR ECM notice the relay clicking with the charging system upgrade? |

no reply from EBR just yet, This am I placed bike on a rear stand, took off the plastic tail section and started the bike. With it in neutral I rotated the rear tire with one hand and held the relay with the other hand .... the relay started firing like crazy. dunno what its doing when riding. EBR ECM is on the bench waiting for email respnse.... OEM ECM seems to work fine and i want to ride!! Others MUST have an EBR ECM and new harness by now... whatsayyou? todd |
