I broke my right foot and tore the Achilles tendon in my left foot in a work related accident. Well, I just got back from the doctor Monday and it seems I will not be on the bike for awhile... maybe not all summer who knows. I have a 2009 Buell 1125CR in red with only 20 miles on it if anyone is interested in driving to Illinois to get one. I also have some stuff I've picked up over the winter that would go with it (manuals, filters, o-rings and washers, XT pegs, high bars and cables, buckle gaurd, and spare plugs). I think I financed around $7,000 (not sure right now of the payoff) and have made five payments so far. If anyone wanted to pay off HD financing they could take it home with them. I've posted this on several boards now with no interest at all. I guess I still owe to much to try and sell it. I hate to get rid of it, but I also hate for it to just sit here for another year. At least I have enjoyed looking at it. In case anyone is interested... my other bikes are not for sale. Sooner or later I will be out there on two wheels again. | ||

Hogs, it's just a nice little ride. You could fly into Bloomington Illinois and ride home. Thanks Andy. I was really bummed about this last doctor visit. I expected to be released but it is still swelled up and it does still feel tight and hurt. Maybe the doctor knows best this time. Still stuck in a boot and cane for now. I think I could ride if I had an air shift. Getting old sucks. | ||

If you have the boot and cane, USE THEM and walk as much as you can tolerate. That's the best way (speaking from past PT experience) to get joints back in shape. Don't do anything that causes sharp pain, but don't let it sit there and atrophy, either. Move it around as much/often as you can. Keep after it, you'll be back on in no time  | ||

Thanks Rat... that's just what my PT girl is telling me... and I am doing just that. It just seems to be healing very slowly. Even my doc is surprised at how slow this is going. The last word I got was two more months... maybe. No one is really jumping of this anyway, so maybe it will still be there waiting for me in a few months. Heck... maybe the Dragon will be open by then and I can make a quick run before winter sets in again. | ||

damn, chuck, sorry to hear your plight. i wish i could yustify getting another bike, i don't ride the ones i have enough, as it is. the cr is one of about five different bikes i'd like to get... re: "getting old sucks", ya, mebbe, but it sure as hell beats the alternative!  here's to you out riding again soon! doug s. | ||

Spent the weekend in the garage messing around with the bikes. The little woman came out when I was cleaning on the 1125 and just said "you really don't want to sell that do you" then went back inside. I sat there for a bit and thought "no I really don't". If someone really wants this bike I'll sell it. But, for now I'll just keep working on it and looking at it. I still think it is a damn cool looking bike. Walked around the block this past weekend. I couldn't believe how sore I got from just that. You really do loose it if you don't use it. I'm still doing the PT and working my foot and leg. My goal is to be riding again by the first of June. My PT girl just shakes her head and says "we'll see". That just makes me want to do it even more. Andy, Rat, and Doug... thanks for the words. You guys are why I hang here. | ||

I checked the pay off and it is way lower then I thought. With only 20 miles on it I couldn't let it go for this. It's $6153. Maybe with out all the extra stuff... I could always try selling that on eBay. What I have that could go with the bike is: A cheap bike cover - $15.00 XB rider footpegs 1" drop - $29.00 American Sport Bike buckle gaurd - $15.00 American Sport Bike seat retention kit - $20.00 Two NGK plugs - $16.00 Buell Bolt gloves (L) - $28.00 Buell leather jacket (2XL) - $320.00 Buell "racing" gloves (L) - $40.00 Buell Adventure jacket (2XL) - $239.00 2008 1125R manual - $52.00 2009 1125 manual - $56.00 5 Buell caps - $50.00 Buell 1125CR "tall" handlebar kit - $204.00 5 oil filters, 11 "O" rings, 2 sets of washers - $68.00 That looks like $1152 worth of new stuff. Nothing has been used or worn yet. I picked up all of this over the winter to use this summer. It looks like the bottom line would be... pay off the HD loan and give me $1150 and it's all yours. That would be around $7300 for a red CR with 20 miles on it and a boat load of stuff to go with it. Heck, if I could ride that would seem like a deal to me. | ||

I have a loaded ($5000+ worth of extras) Desert Camo special edition '06 Uly with 11K miles, 10K service done last month with new rear tire that I will be listing for $7,500 or trade for Red CR, but I guess that doesn't help you?? We'll see if mine sells and yours is still available | ||

Iman, thanks for the words. As of right now, I can't even walk a block. Now the doctor seems to think I may have built up some scar tissue and may have to have another surgery to remove that. This just keeps dragging on and on. As of right now, it looks like I will be keeping this one. No one seems to want it. I cleaned it up again this weekend and my son rode it a little to make sure it was good to go... just in case someone comes by. It now has a whole 30 miles on it. I would listen to offers for it, but I really don't want (or have) to sell. I just thought it would be better if I did. I do have a XT (and a few other bikes) that I would not sell. Maybe us local Buell riders could get together some time. Thanks again. | ||

Sorry I missed your posts. No... the CR is still sitting in my garage. The dealer I work with is in Decatur. I have been asked if I wanted to trade it for another HD. But that would kind of defeat the whole point (I'd keep this one if I could ride). Besides, I want a sport bike and HD doesn't have any sport bikes anymore. As for the condition on mine... it has only 30 miles on it so it is perfect. I image it's been waxed more then any other 30 mile bike around. I just sit on it and clean it. I still think it's a kick ass bike. | ||
