As the season develops, more and more dealers are switching from X1/S1 based race bikes to XB race bikes. Here are a few of them: I never saw this bike on the track, they were there on Saturday but not on Sunday. |

This is Eric Wood's "B" bike, the "A" bike was torn apart into many pieces when he crashed during the Sportbike race. I have no pictures of that one. The bike features the beautiful woodcraft rear sets and shift lever, and a very innovative "dual use" frame slider/towing hook mount on the frame

Harding HD/Buell had two firebolts and two S1 bikes at their disposal and both Jeff Harding and Brian Bemisderfer were debating which ones to ride up to the last minute on Sunday. Brian Bemisderfer rode his Firebolt to win the Supertwins race on Saturday, but he decided to race the X1 on Sunday and ran in the lead for the first few laps, but the bike started smoking and he was black flagged. Bummer!

Greg Avello (far right) getting some help with the TPS from the fine folks at Hal's HD/Buell.

Hmmmm, good question. It bears a yellow number plate which indicates that it is being campaigned by an amateur racer in the amateur classes. Could it be young Jason Kosko? I met him when I was in NJ. Nice young man. Almost bought a bike from him, but the '97 Cyclone appeared on ebay just in time. |

Certainly some new and different stuff, seperate exhaust 1 under 1 underseat. Wonder how that worked out? Looks like Eric Wood should have a hot foot! Belt drive still on the 111? Great pics Jose'. Shows how many people are creative inventor types. You don't see that with the jap bikes. Odd that Jeff Johnson is still on a S1 as the defending champ. Thanks again Jose'. |
