This pipe is awesome. I would like to thank D_Adams for a great product. The pipe came yesterday and I took it today to Toona's grille shop and made her shine. This pipe is not for the timid! It is very very loud but the tone is FREAKING AWESOME. It sounds like a low voiced monster. I've had a D&D on a cbr my XB and this pipe is much louder. I cant even imagine what a D&D sounds like on a 1125R or the jardine. I just want people to know if your looking for a great pipe but not to loud I would go with the RT-1 and 2. However this pipe rocks. You can feel the extra power this pipe puts out. It made a significant difference. The bike really pulls hard, I mean really hard HEHE! This pipe is awesome, thank you Dean!!!!! BTW Dean my neighbors dont like you anymore.

Chris, loosen the header clamps a little, use a rubber mallet and give the collector a few hits and push up on it at the same time, it will slide on a little more and cover the original gasket marks. It will tuck up a little tighter to the engine when you do that. Also don't forget the oil cooler bolts/nuts. There should have been an extra nut in there for the right side. Polish job looks awesome, which makes it look even better on your bike than it did on mine when I did the test fit. Wish you were local to me, I'd sub them all out to you. Frank, you've got 2 bikes, buy another one. |

Thanks Dean. Now whats this about the oil cooler? I know I took a bracket off of it to take the stock can off but the bracket connected to the stock can. |

Chris, on the bottom of the oil cooler, right side, there was a bolt there originally. The stock pipe had a nut built into the pipe, so I sent an extra nylock nut along to replace the missing one that's still in the stock pipe. Re-use the bolt that was there. The left side bracket had a bolt and a loose nut, so just re-use those for that side. Ian -- My apologies for the website problem. Apparently 6 people just tried ordering online and it wouldn't let them. Apparently the last publishing process got screwed up. I don't know all the names, but my secretary (the wife) just called me and said I had gotten a bunch of emails saying they couldn't order the pipe. It's fixed now. Make sure to specify what tip style you want when you order. Looks like I'll be busy for the next few weeks for sure. (Message edited by d_adams on March 31, 2010) |

IMO the best looking exhaust for our bikes. I just wish it was moderate in sound level, I'm not into ear plugs, lol, but man what a great design & look! |

One other note, even though mine has been running fine and the AFV's are at 105/100, tuning it won't hurt it any and might possibly pick up even more power. This applies to all of the systems I make. It would be pretty cool if adding fuel/spark picks up another 10-15 hp. That would put it up near the EBR exhaust/ecm for power output, but I'm not holding my breath. Hmmm, 145-150 hp at the wheel for a $600 pipe with a tune. Maybe. |

You should be, you are causing permanent hearing loss when on the highway due to wind noise. |

+1 Froggy. I wear earplugs religiously and not because of the exhaust. The wind noise is deafening at freeway speeds. I don't even hear the CR's FMF or the XB's D&D at those speeds, just the wind. YMMV, Nels |

adams, I see that you have the RT-3 on your site, however it comes with the straight cut tip instead of the slash cut thats shown above? Also, do i have to tune the bike with a piggy back tuner if i get the EBR race ECM?? I really do love the look and sound of this pipe and im seriously considering this to be the one i choose. Thanks! axl |

Thanks Cory, but I didn't polish this one, Chris had it done somewhere local to where he is. It does have a very good shine to it though, better than what I can do. Axl_rose -- It's all custom work, you tell me what you want on it, I'll try to get it done. If it's out of my ability, I'll let you know. I haven't done any tuning yet, so I can't answer the piggy-back tuner question. I would imagine the EBR ecm for either the slipon or the full race pipe would work just fine, but I don't know for sure. I have no idea how they're mapped and what the differences are between them. I can't claim higher hp numbers than other pipes out there, but for mine, it made a huge difference. What I was after was better sound/tone and I got it. I was hoping for the hp gains and didn't see it initially, but it's here now. If you're posting 145+ hp, I doubt this will match it without tuning, but for what it is, it's pretty respectable. |

Axl, I wouldn't waste money on an EBR ECM with a piggyback. Might as well just piggyback off the stock ECM. If you are going to spend that kind of money, you might as well get the $750 tuneable ECM and find a dyno to set it up on. Xb9er, thanks for all the pics. I live for the bike porn! Great looking scoot. |

what is this piggyback your talking about? Thanks for all the kind words. She looks clean and fancy but I actually knock her around pretty good. Thats why shes black and blue.hehe(im a bad husband to her) Dean I want to see a RT-1 or 2 with the same tip that is on mine. I think that would look amazing. Once again beautiful work. You are giving all the names a run for quality with a lower price. -chris |

PowerCommander, Jardine ProTune, etc... I always planned on getting a ceramic treatment on my headers and midpipe, but that looks so good...I would have to polish the headers too. (Message edited by Freight_dog on April 01, 2010) |

D_ I had a D&D which looks similar in size and shape to your RT3, a K&N and the EBR ECM pump fuel made the bike run 110%, pulled and pulled...Very nice pipe, quality counts bro. |

adams, If thats the case, i def want exactly what i see here. same tip and everything. I will pro install the RT3 with the EBR ECM and maybe go for the K&N. What kinda $$$ are you looking for with this pipe? What kind of setup were u running when you put it on the dyno? Axl |
