About a foot here in the Morrison area. Sun came out by 11am and the melting has begun big time. |

My wife told me that we got about 18" of the white stuff up Golden Gate Canyon...but I am stuck in Ft. Carson this week doing "pre" pre-mob training. |

Got about 6 sloppy inches here. Much is gone already but I will drive to work tomorrow, still lots of water that will be ice in the morning. |

Steve, if you need something to ride I am not far from you and Zac's Uly is in my garage. You can dog it out and he would not know. |

I got out and walked this evening. It's been a while since there was enough light and warmth to do that! Next week looks like there will be a lot of sun and 70 degree days. |

No kidding... crappy here in Castle Rock too. I am hoping for some good riding Monday through Wednesday when it's suppose to be 65 to 70 degrees. I am not holding my breath though. -Tod |

I heard it's suppose to be close to 60 degrees tomorrow......maybe get out for a ride????? Yeah John, this is definitely getting old. I'm already thinking of getting out in the woods to do some dirt biking. Dan's planning on making a bike holder to attach to the back of the toy hauler so we can take 3 bikes out. |

Yeah, I think we will have to get out for a bit as well. We have no snow on the ground but it sure is windy today. |

John, Dan's been painting again. He said "name that part"
The problem is the bike is sitting in his workshop and he gets tooooooo many ideas. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on March 27, 2010) |

Rear cylinder heat-shield... nice! Nice turn-outs on the exhaust too, gotta keep that wheel purty. Weather's getting nicer Hope y'all come up some weekend soon. I realized today, I should have sent Frank's stuff with Scott the other day... sorry Frank. I rode yesterday and I am really liking the EBR race ECM. This is without-a-doubt the best Loretta has ever run. Z |

Zac, I doubt all my stuff is in yet anyway. Julie the bike does look great. Very tasteful mods... Dan sure is very handy. I put the shinny exhaust headers on the S2T

Julie, Like the exhaust shield. The bike looks really good. You guys are making it into a unique CR. Could that 3rd bike holder accommodate a WR sometime??? |

I hope everyone got out and rode today! Me, I had to sell my Buell Blast. Yes, I did say sell, YIPPEE! A couple of Army folks came by to look at it and they both wanted to buy it for their wives to learn on. They will come by tomorrow to make the transaction. I've asked Scott Farrell to maybe introduce himself as the Buell liaison for Ft. Carson. (only if you want to Scott) I let it go for a little cheaper than I wanted, but these folks seemed like good people and I want them to be happy with it, too. |

Glad you were able to finally sell her Jody. I do not think Scott follows the BadWeb but it would be nice if he was on here as he has three Buells in his garage as of today. Lynn and I went to lunch at our favorite BBQ place then went to Scotts house to rebuild his carb and fix what was done to it earlier. He needs a new petcock as the old one was leaking bad. I may have a spare but need to dig for it as I do not know if you can get a new one. ZAC: See if you can order a petcock for a 96 S1, call Scott and post here if you can. Some pics.

On the way to lunch a S1 or most likely an X1 was South bound on Markshuffle. Seeing another tuber always makes my day. |

No cycle ride today but that will happen this week cause today I installed my new front tire (finally). Was just waiting for warmer weather and a helping hand from my neighbor to hold one of the three tires irons that I use. |

Glad you got it done John, have been wondering if you got that tire changed yet. We didn't get out today either, driveway too wet and muddy and Dan likes CLEAN bikes. My work schedule is fairly flexible this week so we may be getting out also. Can't wait for this stuff to stop altogether. We're working on planning some trips this summer. CAN'T WAIT |

Man, what a nice day! I got out and rode this evening. I kept my speed calm and just took the sights in. Does anyone know a MSF instructor? I got to thinking it would be nice to put together a mini rally on a weekend at some location with a lot of good pavement. Set up cones and practice slalom, high speed stops, etc. Maybe we could have a tutorial on getting a knee down if the tarmac is large enough. Controlled conditions and hanging out with friends is the idea. What ye think? |

It's a bit far for you guys to go, but Murrae is an MSF instructor. I did the advanced riders course with him two or three years ago. Good stuff. Always good to get a refresher. |

Groan... Ok, I posted in the XB board, but maybe someone here can help me sooner. Ok, my XB is having running issues once it warms up and entered closed loop operation. I don't have the cable for ECMSpy, it's on order and will be here by sat at the latest. Was wondering if anyone has a cable in the area of CO Springs that I could borrow in the mean time to continue my diagnoses of this problem. |

Jody, I wonder if you can find good setup for cones on line,,, Of course you will need cones. Do you know where any construction is going on??? LOL Sounds like a great idea. I think Lynn and I would be in for that. I know the Goldwing riders do something like this for their group. I will talk to my friend who is into that. |

What model of XB do you have? What exactly is it doing? |

@Cataract2: contact Dan and Julie, I'm pretty sure Dan still has a cable for the XB. Frank, I'll search for some cones. I was hoping to find an MSF instructor that may be able to lend a set of cones for the weekend. The other thing to get is a layout to use for setting up the cones. That is probably available at the MSF site. I wonder if I should post about this on Dave's email list? |

Ghost, it's an 05 XB9SX with 50,100 miles on it, while it's idling it will idle from a cold start normally (~1000-1150 rpm) Once it gets to warm and the idle is a steady 1150 rpm it will be fine for a bit then the idle begins to bog down to ~600 rpm. The first time I noticed this was on the road going to Canyon City. I was traveling at 70 mph at almost 4000 rpm. All of a sudden my bike began to bog down and was sputtering almost. I downshifted and it ran smooth until I was running at a steady rpm and it would do it again at random. At first I thought it was the fuel pump. So today I tested my fuel pressure and found it checked out fine at a steady 50 psi and it stayed there when I rose the rpm. Now, I let the bike warm up and when the idle began to bog to 600 rpm the fuel pressure was still 50 psi. So I know it's not the fuel system. It's something else. Best I can tell is it involves the closed loop operation. When the bike began to bog the idle to 600 rpm I unplugged the O2 sensor and the idle jump back to normal. When I plugged it back in it bogged down again. I did this a few times and sure enough, same results. I then tried the head temp sensor with the same results. So, what I'm needing is to get ECMSpy hooked up to get some real time data to see which sensor is out of whack. I may just take a break and on sat continue on when the mail gets here as that's when my cable form American Sport Bike should get here. I've got to press in bearings on my 2010 wheels tomorrow or friday anyways. (Message edited by cataract2 on March 31, 2010) |
