Ferris, I read about your recon, sounds like it was a great ride! Not too much new here on this end. The weather up here has been great and has allowed lots of time on the bike. Getting ready to head out to the wilds of nothern Idaho to do some camping with the family. Can't wait to get away from it all for a bit! Jim

Hi all, Can someone please briefly post the details of the SPLASH ride? What, where, when. I have read about a possible ThunderCross event, and PIR, but don't know the details. Times and dates are important if I have to organize a "sick day" or some such excuse to return late to work on Monday (or not at all -- priorities man, priorities!) Thanks, John MacRitchie Can't wait for SPLASH 2003 from Canada from British Columbia from Vancouver Couldn't wait for SPLASH! award winner, 1998 -- Thanks Ferris! Looking forward to #7 edited by johnboy on June 19, 2003 |

hi John, long time! for more SPLASH info, go to the Quick Board and click on the link at the bottom for the "Archive 0304 (April 2003)" link, then click on the SuperSPLASH link. do you have room reservations yet? probably not, eh? i'll be staying Friday night in the little motel across the street from Horseshoe Lake Park in Woodland, WA. if you need a place to crash, you're more than welcome. i'm barely online these days, if you need to get me quick my cell phone is best, 760/379-7883. see you soon! Ferris, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The info I was looking for was buried pretty deep! I am set for lodging already, but appreciate the offer, eh. John

i have posted the idea on SacBORG that perhaps we spend Wednesday night in Eugene instead of McKenzie Bridge, and do 58 and the Aufderheide on Thursday morning instead. makes a lot of sense, considering the poor (i.e. nonexistent) lodging situation in MB Wednesday night. Jim, i'm still planing on staying with you on Thursday night. all, how 'bout breakfast Friday morning 7/18 at the restaurant on the NE corner of the I-5/Woodland, WA exit? it's only a couple of blocks from there to Horseshoe Lake Park. Bob and Deb, we need to hook-up at Laguna this weekend. do you pack a cell phone? you can get me at 760/379-7883. ride to lean, FB |

Ferris and Jim, Ya Laguna aint happenin this year for us. Shit!, I go every year too! Oh well, I guess I'll be seeing you two at the park on Friday. Maybe friday we can take a group of assholes up to the front side of St Helens as a short little ride. Uh..... maybe tippin a few brown ones would be better. Make sure you call me if there is any problem on the trip up. We have been known to travel Far and Yawn even if it trouble. In The Rain Forest, Bob Oh, Ferris, what are you going to ride.? Viffer or Buell? If it's the Buell, I'll go ahead and set up a network of search and rescue people all along the Oregon coast. Thats as far as my jurisdiction will allow. Ha ha haha hahahahha |

Buellnuts, we could probably dredge up a fun, kinda closeby Oregon route for Friday too if folks wanta see the country. We could include Buell, Oregon and the immediate surrounds. I have Thurs and Fri off work, so could help out when/where/if necessary. |
