New Blaster here.... Harley mechanic told me, "Oh don't get a Blast, you need a rear tire every 1,000 miles." I have a hard time believing that. Any opinions out there? |

I could only get 3,000 miles out of the stock tire. That's just one of many reasons the Dunlop tire sucks. Get the Pirelli Diablo, I got almost 5,000 miles out of it. |

If you put in a SPRING PLATE PN 37977-90 which requires the removal 1 friction plate and two steel plates, you will get a smoother release'ing clutch which will give you more rear tire mileage ... |

6,000 on stock Dunlop, but it was square when it went away. Doing 5,000 on Pirelli, handle much better. Ain't nothing wrong with the Blast. It'll keep up with the bigger Harleys up to 80 mph and outhandle all of them. 11,000 trouble-free miles, with the exception of minor oil leaks and idiot like me could fix. |

"i" have run with the SPORT BIKES and as long as the straight aways were short the BLAST was in the hunt ... There was a couple of H-D DRESS'ers and they got left right at the start of the ride ... |

It's not the bike, it's the rider. I got behind a Ultra Classic on Hwy 60 thru Suches, GA (home of Buelltoberfest) last Saturday. I didn't know a dresser could lean like that. The dude was carving the hell out of those corners. It was impressive. |
