I motorefed (rode the lead motorcycle) in a pretty technical 6-turn criterium (bicycle race) on the XB in downtown Tampa over the weekend... 120+ miles at .6 miles per lap at the end of the day after all the races were complete. The bike did great, 2nd gear the entire day with no brakes or clutch required for anything. The cooling fan never came on once while it was running (even though I was going pretty slow at times). At idle now, it coughs and seems like it's going to stall. Runs fine with some throttle, doesn't cough or miss at all when accelerating or cruising. I was wondering if it might have fouled a plug with all the 30 mph cruising and light throttle all day... Any thoughts? I'm just below 7500 mi. |

It's a good guess that the plugs are loaded up. Try getting out for a good hard ride to clean them off, and see what happens. |

Do a TPS reset and the automatic plug cleaning and see if it helps. The instructions are in your service manual. |
