I'd sure like to see him sell the tail section. The photos of the Barracuda 2 in the May 2010 Cycle World show that it used the same ultra light weight cast tail section too. I think that would be a big improvement in the looks of the rear end of an R or CR.

I'm curious if it will even fit, we don't know for sure what the radiators look like under the fairings, but they sure are different. Also the frame is different too.

The biggest problem with the B2 tail is it uses a completely redesigned electrical harness. It would be extremely difficult to retrofit the current harness into it. You would be better off building one from scratch.

Then EBR needs to make a race tail for the 1125 that looks like the B2

Looking at the recent Cycle World picture of the Barracuda it looks as if the battery fits under the rider's seat, so it wouldn't be that much work to reposition and the rest of the parts ( fuses, regulator etc ) could go in the tail - except perhaps the rear brake reservoir which could be relocated nearer to the rear brake, so hopefully there wouldn't be much rewiring required.

Rumours are that the tail section will be available to buy separately as it's also used in the 1190RR - but it won't be cheap. I don't think that the Barracuda fairing will be available though - it's not a race part and will probably infringe Erik's/HD's agreement to sell it - I was under the impression that the deal was for race parts only and headlights aren't normally fitted to race bikes !

I'm sure part of the way the battery can be made to fit in that small space is it's the new "Nano Teck" battery being discussed in another thread, available for only $390 (!) from EBR. Still, it seems like it wouldn't be that hard to come up with a more compact tail section that looks basically like the B2. The side rails, which are supposed to be magnesium castings, look like they could be approximated with jet cut or CNC milled aluminum or steel. Maybe someone like sponsor Precision Engineering could come up with something?
