163 when the light came on? When you ran out? How many after the light came on? Details man details! |

How much did you put in? Given some issues I've seen where my bike is rather unhappy to start/run until I put it upright, and I still don't put anywhere near 5.8g in, I'm not convinced that I typically fill to anywhere near 5.8g total capacity. I usually put in 4.8g when the fuel light starts coming on. |

OK I was walking at 163 but I am not sure about when the light came on because it came on just before I got home yesterday, When I left this morning it was on but it is always on when it is cold. When I went to go back home for lunch it was on so I thought I would get gas on the way back to work , I made it half way . I live 5 miles from work.... so between 12 and 16 miles? Put in 5.062 gal. and it fired right up |

Holy crap 163 miles? My gas light comes on around 4.5-4.6 gallons used (190-210 miles), depending on its mood for both my 1125's. |

don't know about the other .8, maybe I got a generous gas pump . I tried to restart it several times both up hill and down hill Froggy, can't nooobody compete with your hyper-mileage. I don't even try . |

today i attained 155.5 mi on the trip meter and thought my low fuel light had busted! topped off with 4.162 gal. my best tank average mpg so far with now over 2K on the clock. it rained its ass of all day toady, so i was easy on the throttle, and averaged 60 +/- 10 mph going to/from work. |

according to my manual, Buell claims 5.3 gallons if I remember correctly. I have put 5.1 in mine with 20 miles on the low fuel odo. |

I've held at 24 mpg. Not much highway on it though. |

Im glad someone posted up the mileage you get out of a tank lol. My light decided to stop working and I ended up pushing mine about a half a mile through parking lots to get to the nearest gas station. Been wondering how far I can go but didnt wanna test it too far because pushing = no fun. |

i get 150-170 depending on how aggressive i am on the hwy.. best was 44 mpg worst was 22 ish... Froggy i see that when i search you always come up with high numbers... thats great for you but most of us actually ride the bikes considering the size and the bikes intended use, we are doing fine.. my buddy with an R1 runs out of gas before i do everytime.. of course he rides pretty hard also.. |
