Well I put the fmf pipe on my bike 2 weeks ago and I love the way it sounds now I know I checked my afv before install and one was 100 and other was like 98 or something?? My memory sucks I should have wrote it down. I checked yesterday and one is down to 90 and another is at 99.5 I believe.. weird thing is why would it take fuel away when its flowing better???? Also my friend wanted to hear it so I start it up and let it warm up for 5 min. Gave it a quick rev and my friend goes did you just see that?!?!? Me "um no see what" u just shot a big flame out (I think this kids nuts no way I have extra unburnt fuel! Things lean as hell. So I rev it again nothin.... but then learned if I rev it higher (like 7 grand, let it fall kinda then rev it back to like 5 it does shoot a flame! Nothing crazy or huge tho he sware the first one was the biggest. But it does..... anyone see this? It can't be good....right? |

Get a race ECM or some sort of tune for that thing. I wouldn't even run it with the stock tune and FMF. Look at this discussion here for my reasoning.---> http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/549748.html?1269628080 |

Good info and thanks but still doesn't answer why I'm getting flames..... you shoot flames when something runs rich and there is unburnt fuel... if these bikes are soooooo lean wich acording to my afv... how the hell is there that much unburnt fuel comming through my exhaust to make such happen??? |

You will have unburnt fuel regardless whether your are rich or lean. |

you do realize that by doing that you are asking it to supply alot of fuel, then telling it you didnt need it, then hitting the throttle again and it ignites everything anywhere near it. as in unburnt fuel. |

like froggy said there is always some unburnt fuel. A lean motor runs hot and so does the exhaust and it just ignites in the exhaust. |

you always have a little potental fuel there, and with it being already very hot, all it needs is some scavenged air to ignite it,my question to you is,are you certain you have no air leaks at the slip- ons connection, that will definately aggrivate the situation..... |
