What year is the bike? And has the charging system recall been done on it?

It would greatly help if you posted the error code so we would know why it came on.

Does your bike still have the intake solenoid?

Same thing happened to mine. The dealer checked the code it was for low fuel pressure. There is a problem with the pressure sensors. They have noted it but haveln't replaced it yet because they say it is still the same batch and you might get a good one or you might get a worse one. A worse one caused the bike to cut out. In my case it just had the light with no impact on performance.

Get your dealer to read the code. If it is this they should not it and replace it when a better batch of sensors comes out.

To check the code, hold down both the toggle and mode buttons while turning the ignition key on. This will enter diagnostic mode on the instrument cluster.
