Sorry!-

my '09 1125R with FMF slip on and EBR ECM got a letter for an upgrade/recall harness for the stator.

My plan: install stock ecm and take to dealer for installation as they recommended.

1) is this going to do anything for my stator if i just come back home and install my EBR ECM? seems like a flash my be part of this upgrade

2) Does anyone think I should install my stock exhaust can so the dealer does not red flag my bike as modified, abused or something weird for potential future problems?

Your dealer has never seen a bike with an aftermarket exhaust before?

Throw on the stock ECM though, that way it can be reflashed to the latest and greatest. According to another post (I think it might of been a response to you) the EBR race ECM already has the programming in it for the new harness.

FWIW my local dealer has a sign that says "street legal only" I assume more for show than anything but it still makes me a little nervous... and I've never used H-D service
