We never really had a place. I remember when I went to buy tires at Dennis Kirk.com a while back, it gives you choices "Harley Davidson", "Metric", "Dirt Bikes", and "Watercraft". Well my Uly is a little bit of All the above! |

my buddy's dad gave me crap for riding a "rice rocket" a wile ago and said i should get a real american bike! i then told him that we practically have the same bike (he has a sportster) and went over and started my bike up, it was fun to watch his face go from smug to shocked hahaha i figure we either get crap from sb riders or get crap from cruiser riders, but who cares b/c we all are here for each other who needs them anyway! |

well everytime i used to go to my friends house i rode the honda there so i got crap about that from his dad. then one day i was at my friends, and his dad looked out the front window and saw my bolt sitting in the driveway and just assumed it was some I4 bike i guess, and started giving me crap. so without actually saying its a buell i just went and started it up i was fun when my bike sounded better than his! haha |

LOL I get that all the time "oh what a cute little bike" then I start it up with my way to aggressive for the street D&D on it, and everybody stops grinning and starts gawking. |

Are our personalities so weak that we rely upon the feedback of others to gauge our own values? Maybe Obamalosi is right... perhaps we do need others to make better decisions for ourselves. DOH! |

We are Buells. That is it. Sportbikes (at least Firebolts and 1125s). That's how I identify. I ride with other sportbikes, go to the track with other sportbikes. |

I keep falling into the same thing. Every time I buy a bike, it’s not one of the fashionable versions like a Harley or Jap sport bike. They basically all look the same to me. I like being different and don’t want to be one of the many; I’d rather be one of the few, the proud, the Buell owners. It’s great to ride an American bike that has character and doesn’t look or sound like everyone else. I like it when people do the double take and stare in amazement wondering what I’m riding. More power to the Buell riders of America. We are in a class of our own! |

According to Buell a sportbike is not designed to be sat on, it's designed to be hung off, moved around on, constantly manipulated beneath the rider. A self-propelled platform upon which a sport takes place. |

personally it irritates me when some one calls my bike a jap bike/crotch rocket. I like to think of it as either a street fighter(lightning,CR) or a sport bike. (Message edited by kenney83 on March 23, 2010) |

All i know is my Buell is not a ME TO bike. I have always hated having something that you see 15 of at the local food stops. Matt. |
