So I swapped out the swing arm on my 04 lightning this winter for the 06+ style. I got the oil lines new from Buell but I must be missing something. I swing arm end of the line is just a flared metal pipe without a nut to tighten it down. The swing arm has fittings in it that they push into but there must be some kind of clip that holds them in there or something. Anyone know? |

Well I've been searching around all day and I found some info on a euro website. They are held in with jiffy tite connectors. There's a 0 ring in the fitting on the swingarm. The flared metal line slides in and then a wire clip shaped like a funky U slides around the fitting in the swingarm to hold it in. |

Have you tried looking in the Shop Manual? |

Yeah I've gone to Buell and looked but the parts guys didn't know anything about it and the manual just shows the line and the fitting it goes into. It doesn't say anything about the clip or seals. |

Ok I found the part numbers for them. If you are swapping swingarms to the 06+ and the fittings on your swingarm don't come with the clips here you go: 11408 - jiffy-tite wire clip 11290 - O ring 11110 - O ring I'm not sure which o- ring is the right one as both are listed. I'll find out next week |
