I gots one! Great for the passenger I have been told. Not necessary if you don't ride passengers. The rear seat is large enough that a lot of passengers won't even notice it. Mine was on the bike when I bought it, I noticed the price later. Is it worth the price? I don't know, I have never ridden back there, no one ever complains about back pain from it, so I guess it is good. |

My wife and kids like the backrest pad. Never sat on the back yet myself though so I can't say from personal experience. |

My wife seems to like the pad on my triple tail. The only pain is that you need to pull it off to fold down the triple tail when not in use. And you need to fold down the triple tail to open the trunk case fully. So I keep mine in the saddlebag whenever it's not in use. |

A suggestion:
My soon to be wife loves hers. Said it's like a waterbed. (Also, I suppose you could drink the water too if you're some sort of weirdo :P) |

Do you know what happens to a Buell hydration pack full of ice cold water, while you are riding the Uly down the Interstate with your tent and sleeping bag across the back seat, and you think it is a good idea to use it for a back rest? I will give you a hint, the water pick-up is at the bottom of the back coming out with a hard ninety degree fitting. Let's say at least it is fairly warm out if you are toting and using the Hydration pack. When you get 30 ounces of ice water down the crack of your pants it is quite a cool rush! |

some time ago someone posted about making there own tail pad with some kind of foam from Walmart. I still haven't found the foam they are talking about. I wonder if it was an exercise mat? |

Sheepskin would probably be a good idea too. |
