Check the sponsor section of the Forums ! And congrats on a great bike. Similar deal to what I got, but about $2 grand less! (Mine was 4 years ago.) These have GOT to be the best value of a used bike, in the world! Seriously. Recommend you check your intake seals, and your Rocker Box lower gaskets. Probably wouldn't hurt to replace your brake fluid, and of course the engine lubricants: oil, and primary lubricant. (Message edited by jayvee on March 20, 2010) |

Welcome and congrats on the great deal! Post up pics if you get a minute. American Sport Bike is one of my favorites. Find a dealership here too if you haven't got a local source for parts and accessories. -Mike |

Check rockerboxes for leaks, the gaskets from back then like to leak, and with 3k miles yours are probably the original paper gaskets. If they're not yet....get a top end gasket set and keep it on a shelf. You'll use it soon enough Keep the battery up (battery tender) and remember to run the drive belt "scary loose". Ride, smile, repeat Welcome aboard! |
