So i got the harness installed today and after that the dealer "updated" my flash that I thought was current.. Well now the bike runs like crap..Its wasssss running great.. Now, Its very lean. Popping and missing. Dying at red lights/stop signs.. Anyway.. Its going back in the morning to see if they can put it back like it was? Anyone had this happen? |

Did you try resetting the TPS? |

Yep twice.. Nothing changed. I wish the TPS reset gave you a conformation that it worked.. I done it by the book though.. |

Part of the new harness is the ECM reflash to activate the relay to switch a leg of the stator on and off. |

If you go into diagnostic mode, you can see the TPS settings. Mine runs from 2% at closed throttle to 100% WFO. |

What about the race ECM??? how can the harness work with that? I was going to buy one. |

Good question, EBR would have to answer that, but it should just be a matter of retrofitting the harness relay programming to the Race ECM. |

So if you have one now your going to have to send it back???? That sucks for new race ECM owners... |

EBR race ECMs have the updated firmware necessary to run the stator harness. No worries |

Illbuell, the new flash may have reset the AFV to 100/100, if your ecu had self adjusted previously to a different value then it may just need time to relearn. |

AFV to 100/100??????????? What does AFV mean? |

afv(adaptive fuel value) ok I should have said 100front/100rear. The 100 means 100%,the ecu looks at the 02 in the exhaust with narrow band sensors,if it senses a lean air/fuel mixture within a certain learning area it will richen the mixture globally for each cylinder and vice-versa.The diag mode displays the current state. Here is a post about afv.http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/463457.html |

So if I have a protune 3 and richen the mixture the ECM just leans its self back out?? |

Try taking it off (disconnect the ground on the protune) temporarily and see if it runs better. The latest flash seems to run very nicely for most people. |

Even with the RT-5 exhaust? If its lean now wouldn't it be even leaner with the protune off? Thanks |
