Sam... Do you also have a current list of riders with phone numbers? I sent an excel spread sheet to Bill, but it only has a few names. If you could fax or email me a copy I would be happy to add them to this master list. I still have the copy tripper gave us but its been almost a year sense I have contacted anyone from it. I do remember there were a few who no longer had there bike. I want to be able to hand a copy out to everyone present at the next group meeting in July. Jeff

Fuscat... I just got a chance to look at the badweb and read your message... I had to rush around and get ready after work to run out to Paddy O's... and could not get on line... I share my web access with my fiancée and my son. It gets difficult at times. Sorry!!! Kcbill... I have really been thinking over and figuring the trip to congratulate Erik... and between the impending war with my boss about my annual leave being canceled several times... including getting HQ involved... I doubt I could get the time off ...and figuring the least it could cost... I kinda have a choice I don't like... assuming I could get the time off... I could have the money to barely make the trip... which I would LOVE to make... then that means when the rear tire goes, and the 5000 mile service is due on the XB9S... the bike gets parked for lack of tire money & service money... or I budget for the rear tire and the 5000 mile service... and the trip is impossible. Even at that... I am trying to budget (read hoping for a miracle) the replacement of the rear disc and brake pads ($500.00+) on the BMW when I have the rear wheel off for the tire which will soon be needing replaced... at least I already have a Metzler for the BMW. I really appreciate the offer you made... but I just don't see how I can make happen what I need... yet alone make the trip. whaa... whaaa... whaaaa!!! it sucks to be me!! LOL Sam... I did not yet get the radar gun... and there is no federal property in Lee's Summit... it would have been safe for you to show. Sorry I missed you... (insert evil laughter at this point) :-) |

Keith, Yeah still alive, but The Man is trying to bring me down! I've been working way more than I'd like. Connie still says she had a good time, and that you guys wouldn't be to much trouble for me. I might have some time to kill this weekend (Mainly Sun) if you want to get some miles in. Ben |

Looks like I maybe down for a while the front left tube is bleeding badly... I need to get a hold of Tripper to see if the guy that worked on his shock can do some things to my forks. Frank, Do you know anyone that is real good at rebuilding forks? Though I'd look into some valve improvements and maybe some spring upgrades... Just a though...

Hey Jeff he had real bad service from that guy. You might check with Frank. I know for sure Topeka has a guy that is race tech certified. |

>>>Do you know anyone that is real good at rebuilding forks? CAll Cycle-Zone at 785-234-3844 (a division of Topeka HD/Buell) and ask for Little Mikey Kruger. Short of having Tom Anglim at the Buell factory do it, you can do no better for having forks or shocks rebuilt. Court |

Keith, I was trying to remember... Is there a ferry South of Hannibal? I think there used to be one, but that was a few brain cells ago. Not really important, just ideas for some later rides. For tomorrow, is Silom (sp?) Springs still a nice ride? You have to remember most of my rides around Quincy were on the back of my Dad's cruisers, so most of the routes were "straight" to the next bar. Ben |

Ben, Its real straight and flat going out to the park. The park itself is real cool and would have some great roads if not for such heavy ranger patrol. they strickly enforce the 25 mph speed limit through there. As far as the ferry ride accoss the mississippi is concerned, they are south of Louisiana. closer to STL actually. I'll drop you a line later. Keith |

I got in touch with Mikey Kruger from "Cycle-Zone" and he said he would set me up. I'm not sure what that means, but when I mentioned Courts name ...there was a snicker in his voice.

The good news is that he will do the best job you can get done anywhere in the USA. But...he makes me feel old. I remember when he was Little Mikey and used to watch us ride dirt bikes. Seemed like it was just a flash till he was a contender for the top MXer in the area. He rides well, is very professional and a real "find" for anything to do with suspension or dirt bikes. He really snickered?
