Bike looks good. I wonder when they're going to sell those bad-A decals...you have to look at the other pictures to see it though |

I'm getting some decals made that are a cross between the old Buell shield decal and the new EBR decal for the stock sidepanels |

Dammit! Why couldn't he have front mounted the farkin radiator in the first place? All that BS about "disturbed cooling air" or for the short wheelbase...whatever. Looks amazing btw. (Message edited by Freight_dog on March 18, 2010) |

I agree with FreightDog, the scoop radiators are funky stupid looking, especially after looking at the above pictures. The race bike is beautiful; well proportioned, everything belongs unlike the retail bikes. I doubt the scoop radiator has one bit of an advantage over the front mount type, if it did Erik would have installed them on the above race bike, but he didn't. What does that tell you? Sometimes, maybe oftentimes his functional goals had a higher priority than his form or style goals. This hurt the marketability of the bikes, all for wanting to be different, but being different can mean being ugly. |

Welcome to the Genisis of an Idea... You guys have to think about this from a builder's standpoint too... I deal with this all the time in my profession and current duty assignment designing weapon systems. We take an idea spawned off of a capability gap and then draw up possible solutions. Then some of the prototypes are made for testing, eventually a first run is made and then finally several years later we get the ACTUAL desired end result. This process is tiresome and can be extremely frustrating. For Erik I imagine his original idea was pictured above. What we got in the form of the 1125r was the first generation. Apples to oranges, this is not a street bike by any means but it makes one wonder... When we will get to see this style and technology hit the streets? Only time will tell and I am behind EBR 100%. Seek and destroy EBR! I cannot wait to see this rocket in person. Simply beautiful. (And you are all right, it does make the 1125r look like a ugly duckling, but I love the hell outta that underdog too!) (Message edited by GeForce on March 19, 2010) |

It does have split radiators for weight distribution and better cooling flow. It's just the perpendicular to airflow type off the 1125RR, but in different bodywork. The cooler on the bottom is the oil cooler. And when you aren't allowed to have a fairing, and are told the radiators have to be hidden, making it all work is one hell of a task. This is what the first 1125 would have looked like if it weren't for corporate directives and design by committee. Not that the 1125R wasn't cool, but it would have been way more accepted as a sport/sport-touring version built after the superbike racer and superbike street bike if "leadership" hadn't demanded that we not build any "Jap-looking hyperbikes". Of course that means anything that has a fairing. Y'know, "all those Ducatis Hondas and Suzukis look the same, unlike the clear product differentiation between all the H-D models". Gag. |

OK, I was fooled because the bodywork looks a lot narrower than the pods, and the frame where the pods were mounted is now bare. That is one ginormous oil cooler. I am certain a lot more people would have jumped on an 1125R if it looked like this. |

Drool... Very Nice. I cant wait to see those decals either. Goodbye old Buell on my covers and hello to the future. ---- Y'know, "all those Ducatis Hondas and Suzukis look the same, unlike the clear product differentiation between all the H-D models". Gag.--- That is exactly what somebody at my purchasing dealership called my 1125R, a rice rocket. South Park may be on to something. |

I may be mistaken, but this set-up does not include radiator fans (which obviously the pod set-up does), so this may not work out well for other than a racing application. This would explain why he "didn't do this in the first place". It will work great, as long as you don't get caught in stop and go traffic, then it'll get hot in a hurry. |

I would be hard pressed to imagine that there aren't fans BEHIND the radiator(s).... |

The 1190RR looks great! I only wish I could afford it. If I could figure out how to use those fairings with the stock radiators I would have them. I saw a post by Erik, on facebook maybe, where he says they are looking for a more reasonable radiator to sell to the masses. The ones in the current bikes are hand made and very expensive. The alternative is to use the Flexiglass panels with the stock radiators. Just like the ones on the 1125R DSB pictured on the EBR Web site. But they don't look nearly as nice as the 1125/1190RR fairings. |

DSMcG, you have to consider that those guys posted Friday evening and Saturday morning. So they were either drunk or hung over, and searching for something to say. |
