The pistons are the only things different in the top end. XB9 pistons have a dome in the center the shape of the combustion chamber. If you put these pistons on a 12, the compression is raised to 12+:1. I imagine that's why he wants them. Sounds like a headache to me.

I put XB9 pistons in a 04 sporty once.....that thing had some balls.

Hey guys. I am actually working on putting together a sportster based dragbike. The stock sporty motor (as of now) is a 883.
Plan is to go to 1200 using an XB top end. I really don't NEED the pistons as I will buy aftermarket ones but thought if maybe someone parting out a wreck was selling I'd just take the complete top end off his/her hands. So either.....9 or 12 units would work for me. Thanks.
