Hey guys, new to badweb and buells. Been a buell admirer for years and finally took the leap on a 2004 xb12r, i took her out yesterday just itching to ride and decided id see how she reacts to some hard emergency braking, stops fine, even had the rear step out on me quite a bit. Eased off the brakes to accelerate away and cough, cough, die....roll to the shoulder and spin her over and she fires. Hmmm, lets try this again, same results 4 times in a row?? just an xb quirk or something i need to put some energy into?? sorry if theres already a thread about this i looked but may have overlooked it. Thanks in advance for any help |

Not a quirk. Target idle rpm @ 1100 rpm. Remote idle adjustment knob is seemingly hidden up & between left air scoop and engine. |

Low fuel may lead to that issue. |

thanks guys, i kinda wondered about fuel level but didnt check the tank, idle seems to be right around 1100 but ill double check when the rain lets up, i dont think its anything serious |

This helps! my '03 XB was exhibiting similar issues, but my idle is way low at around 800 RPM. Going to try to turn it up a little tonight and see if it's better! |

Maybe try disconnecting the Bank Angle Sensor before trying the hard stop test again. I'm thinking the problem could be a defective BAS that's starting to go whacky. |
