Plug it in, do a TPS reset, and enjoy. Be sure to specify the year and model of your bike in the comment box when ordering. |

If you have already purchased new intake and exhaust, you MIGHT still be able to get a pre-programmed "plug and play" ECM - but if not, you might consider shooting EBR an email to ask for THEIR recommendations based on PERFORMANCE and secondarily on COST. Performance usually means the full race exhaust and K&N intake. Cost saving usually means a slip-on muffler and the K&N They are pretty specific about exhausts that are problems to tune for (D&D slip on can be one that just doesn't work well for the 1125R) |

Theft error usually is because of a near dead battery. |

i was wondering why the reflashes for stock bikes are different for the R and CR but the race ecm works for both anyone know why? |

It may have to do w/the gearing program. |

The difference is the speedo programming. If you don't specify its for a CR when ordering your Race ECM, you will have the R gearing programmed. It will work 100% the same, except your odo will be 8% off. |

I was under the impression with the plug and play EBR race ecm you needed to unhook the Bank Angle Sensor? |

Yes and no, it depends on how it comes programmed. My understanding is the older ones came preprogrammed to use the BAS connector as a quick shift, while the new ones relocate that function to the non-present kickstand switch. |

I kow it is said speedo is 8% off but with the race ecm set up for an r on my cr 100mph actual (gps) is 111-112mph on my speedometer....which according to formula I used from S&S,that is more like 11% or so...... |

Put your stock ECM back on and do it again, you will still be a good 5mph off. Speedometers are not accurate at high speeds. Also tire size and pressure will affect it too. Bone stock the speedo is 2-3mph off at highway speeds. |

I must be missing something I tried doing a TPS reset, unpluging the BAS sensor and still says theft error. When I put in the stock ECM it fires right up. |

Did you disable the security mode on the cluster before swapping the ECMs? |

Just an FYI, if you go into diag mode and see a pile of codes in history don't worry. These ecm's are plugged into a harness when programmed and the harness does not have all the sensors connected causing all the codes to set. The history codes should clear in 50 key cycles if there are no problems. I had 9 random history codes in mine when installed in the bike. |

My EBR race ecm is held up in UK customs since Monday, I am getting a bit fed up since I actually ordered it quite a while ago - the weather is getting better over here every day and time is awasting......... |

Holly shit i sent a email to EB Racing and got a call with in 30 minutes the man himself checked my email. It might be a problem with the ECM calibration flashed in the ECM is incomplete, or missing all together. Which is a honest mistake if this is the case they will just send me a new one.AWSOME customer service. |

I gave the details of my bikes when I ordered my ecms. 1 for an 09 CR 1 for a 2010 R. the numbers on the ecms are the same.... so if they are different I have 2 of the same one and dont know which one is right. Y0152.10AZ M3SPB062 on both |

Same p/n as the ECM I got yesterday, Loretta is an 08 "R". I pulled it out of the box last night, plugged it in and started right up. Michael dropped my idle speed as I asked and Loretta FINALLY sounds like a V-Twin! O2s are enabled and Mike asked me to ride her a bit before doing another dyno trip. Loretta was already running strong, but this is better! |

mines sitting here, waiting to go on the bike. Sometimes it's nice to live 40 minutes away from EBR. Get to pick up the parts AND talk with the employees and look around. Nice stuff! |

I asked if they would set the idle to 11-1200. I have to keep an eye on it tho, when hot, the alternator doesn't keep up at idle. I'm OK with that, I LOVE the sound now. That alone is worth the money spent. Z |

I shot an email to ebr but was curious I anyone else might have inquired if the race ECM can still work with the stock pipe? I love the sound of the stock version but wouldn't mind a 250 dollar improvement with fueling. More or less a better throttle to pavement feel. |

Ooooh... any chance of some video or a sound clip of an 1100 RPM idle? |

Got a response from the tech department pertaining to my above question for anyone thats considering the ecm with a stock exhaust setup- Andy, The race ECM will not add much peak power with the stock exhaust but it will smooth out drivability and increase midrange power which is nice on trackdays. It also disables the secondary throttle solenoid so that doesn't need to be removed. It's a simple bolt in change that can be accomplished at the track with a few screws. If you decide later to utilize a race exhaust also, the system will handle most of those as well without changing it. Thank you, Tech Support Erik Buell Racing |
