I'm across 75 from North Park Mall. I'm desperately in need of some good routes, any ideas? |

I hear out west of Ft Worth is nice but I have yet to get out there and see for myself. If you shoot up 75N to Anna and take 455W it's a decent route all the way to 35E. Or you can shoot out 80E and just east of Terrell take 429S and get lost out there. I usually just head to the country and get "lost". |

If you have a weekend to burn, head NE to Clayton OK or the Ouachita National Forest in AR. My favorite ride is over to Dublin, TX for a REAL Dr Pepper, then south to Fredericksburg for a bratwurst and on to the Three Sisters, also a weekend trip. That's a little far though, so here are a few closer ones: FM roads around Lucas and Lavon Lake. There are some roads with elevation changes near Cedar Hill and Joe Pool Lake. Go East on 30 to Rockwall/Heath, there are a few FM roads there that are fun. If you have a whole day, head west to Possum Kingdom Lake. Take I30 W to Ft Worth, 199 NW to Azle, FM 730 SW to Weatherford, then 180 W and you'll be headed toward Possum Kingdom Lake. It's a beautiful area, take your pick of roads from there, I'd hit them all. |

Here's a good site that should help: http://www.motorcycleroads.us/regions/tx_north.htm l From your area St. Jo, Capps Corner and Muenster could be a nice ride. 455, 677, 373, 922 & 121. (Message edited by cowtown on March 16, 2010) |

Being around NorthPark Center, it looks to me that points south would be just as accessible as points north. 660, 813 and 983 in Ferris are only 25 minutes away. Suburbia is steadily moving south and is already taking some of the fun out of these roads, so enjoy them while you can. Heading west from there, 875 is nice, if a little rough in the curves. My Sunday afternoon loop is 916 west out of Maypearl (stay on 916 long enough and it turns into a narrow 1-lane by the Brazos River; very scenic), 3136 and 1807 back west out of Cleburne, and 157 north to Mansfield, which is an awesome road to run at "the pace" - stick the throttle at 65 - 70 (it's marked 55, so be alert), never touch the brake and wear into those chicken strips! Any of the roads around Glen Rose are worth the trip, too (203, 205, 51, etc.). And of course, you've got to do FM 4 north of Santo at least once a year. I can't compare these to 455 since I always head south instead of north, but I've not grown tired of any of these roads. |

Hi guys, What dealership do you recommend for service in DFW? I have a leak on my front fork and want to change the fork oil. I've been to Corinth, Longhorn is closer (they quoted me $210 just for labor, but I've never felt comfortable taking it to Longhorn). So what dealership is best, should I go to Allen? Big thanks |

Is it warranty issue or no? If not I have a guy, better, faster, and cheaper than the dealer. I prefer Garland over Allen for major services that i dont want to tackle. I am having issues with the Allen dealership right now. |

I live in North Fort Worth / Keller area. I would definitly be interested in getting a group of riders together for a trip in the next few weekends. Maybe a short trip to Dublin and back? I would be up for most anything. If you have an idea, let me know. My email is amrcnba@yahoo.com. Either email or post it up here. |

Great idea. June 12th is the Tour de Pepper bicycle race / ride. That'll tend to slow the pace on Hwy. 6 and FM 914. Keep us posted. |

I'm definitely going to steer clear of the bicycle ride. I think Saturday March 22nd is a better bet. I'm going to plan for a morning ride to Dublin, maybe even over to Hico, back through Glen Rose and Cleburne. It's easily a trip that be done so that it's a casual day trip, with plenty of time for stops and lunch. I am not a racer nor do I ride extremly fast, so don't count on this being a MotoGP Texas event. If anyone is interested in joining me, post or email me. As far as a place to meet that morning, I'll wait to see who all is going to join me before I worry about it. Chris (Message edited by amrcnba on May 05, 2010) |

OK, I will try to make this. My Son is coming home on leave from Iraq, so there is a slim chance that I will not be available. I'll be coming from McKinney and look forward to riding with other Buellers. Thanks Rob |

I will be heading to the Austin area from Plano tmrw morning to go down and see my mom for mothers day, be coming back sunday. Memorial day weekend I am off Friday and Monday so I am wanting to take a trip down and ride the "three sisters". Anyone wanna meet up down there and ride? Dont necessarily have to ride the "three sisters" if you have a good route I am down. I am cool with day trips or an over-nighter - I just wanna ride some good roads!!!! I do have to go to San Marcos and see a friend one or two days. |

I'm considering a ride through Palo Pinto county, about 4 hours total, if that changes anyone's mind for riding on the 22nd. I'll see who all is interested before I make any concrete plans. I'd be up for riding to dublin or through Palo Pinto County. Email or post here. |

In the morning by 8, or even earlier if everyone else is on board. I'd even leave by 7 if everyone was able to meet and be ready on time. |

There really hasn't been much interest, so I will plan another weekend other than the 22nd to get a ride together. If anyone else decides to get something together PM or post. |

If you don't mind riding with a group of cruisers, we are riding from Azle to Decatur, St. Jo, Capps Corner, eat lunch in Nocona, then Lake Nocona, Illinois Bend, Muenster and back to Azle. We're meeting at FBC Azle, 1017 Boyd Rd. (FM 730) at 10:00 this Saturday. |

I think we are going to ride to Dublin after all. From there, over to the Koffee Kup Kafe in Hico, for some pie. Then back through Glen Rose and Cleburne. We took my Datsun Z car the same route a few months ago and it was a nice cruise, so we want to take the bike this time. I'll post up again within a month or so, when we decide to ride through Palo Pinto, so maybe a few more people will want to ride next time. |
