It's almost NEVER a good thing when your up posting on a forum at 3am... For me it usually means I just got home from the bar and I'm probably wasted! It's 7:30 am here... getting ready to make it out to bartimus's place... I picked up another tag-a-long in my buddy Tyler on his GSX-R 600 so now there is 3 of us with myself and Eric! See you guys soon! |

Wayne, did you guys do Bagdad on Saturday? How did you like it? Lots of hills and curves out there, isn't there!
We had a decent showing for todays ride, 3 Buells and 3 Zuki's. It was good to meet, and ride with you guys. I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves, and I hope to see you out and about for more rides. |

Great ride!! That was by far the longest ride I have had the Buell on so far, it wasn't bad at all.... the long ride back down Carefree was a bit tough on the legs and butt however, it was so fun I didn't really care! |

This is my first time posting on BadWeb, Thanks for letting me tag along with you guys Bartimus and Xtreme6669. That was killer. I clocked 380 miles door to door. It sucks living in Queen Creek. I thought the ride was over when we got back to your house, but I still had 60 miles to go. |

We need to ride south to Tombstone. Take 79 down to 77 to Tuscon and over would be killer/Awesome. |

Priscilla and the kid and I rode down there when we were in last. Nice ride. Even the border patrol waived us through the checkpoint north of Tombstone when they were stopping everyone else. Nice road from Fort Huachuca, and back via Bensen to the 10. Trying to get in toward the end of the month and will post if we make it. Less than 50/50 right now but will let you knows. Depends which way we are flying and if we can break the trip. LJM |

Welcome MrBuell! Midnight, glad you enjoyed yourself! We can accomodate you east side folks next time by riding out to Superior, Winkelman, Globe and back, it's a nice little triangle and shouldn't put too many miles on you. Hwy 79 to Tucson is much like the carefree highway, straight as an arrow. It would be better to go up to Superior, and take 177 to Winkelman, and then down 77 to Tucson. The Sonoita Hwy is fun, (hwy 83) But the rest of the roads don't have many curves. If you haven't been to Tombstone and seen the play gunfights, it might be an OK ride. Mapquest says: Total Travel Estimate: 7 hours 42 minutes / 436.89 miles And that's without any stops! and also, taking the freeway, all the way back... If anyone wants to ride the triangle next Sunday, I'm good with that... |

I have tentative Vegas plans this weekend. If that doesn't happen I'm down for the ride. I have my new CRG Hindsight mirror installed so I need to tear through some turns and see my crystal clear rearview |

wish I could go. hernia surgery on thursday. and I was in town too....oh well. have fun. If you are in Tombstone are overnight, make reservations at the Cafe Roka in Bisbee...really good food. There is a bed and breakfast there that is all 1950's trailers, from small to large, even a boat you can stay in. Of course the haunted Copper Queen is good too. REX |

Last weekends ride just wetted our appetite to ride, so Kelly and I are going to ride up to Show Low for lunch on Saturday. We will head up the Beeline to Payson, then up 260 to Show Low. After lunch, we will come back on US60, down through the salt river canyon, and Globe, then back into town... If anyone wants to go, you can meet us at the shell gas station on Shea, in fountain hills, closest to HWY87, around 9:30AM We should be back in town by 4PM. Sunday, we are still going to ride the triangle, Superior, Winkleman, Globe. If anyone is going, let us know, and we can meet you on the east side, at the Chevron on the northeast corner of US60 and IDAHO around 10AM. The renasance fair is going on, so there will be a back up of traffic out past apache junction for a few miles. we ran into it last weekend also. We can eat in Globe before heading back down. This is a fairly short ride. (Message edited by bartimus on March 19, 2010) |

Good ride today, good thing we had an early start, we didn't get home until around 5:30PM. Was a little chilly heading up the mountain, but got better as the day wore on. Stopped to get some coffee east of Payson:
Lunch was good up in Show Low, temps were around 55 degrees in town. Heading back down US60 was fun, the Salt River Canyon was even better. We stopped to remove some of the gear at the top before heading down, and I got a chance to ham it up:
Saw a few cops here and there along throughout the day, but most were already busy, and the rest were not concerned with a couple of sport riders. Total mileage from door to door for me was 396.7 miles, not bad, tomorrow should be a breeze! See you guys at the Chevron at 10AM! |

Speaking of cold on the mountain. Reminded myself though why a day of skiing may not be better than a long ride in the warm weather. Still trying to get down this weekend but will see. LJM
