Ha, beat me to it! I'm #49. I haven't posted here yet, but have been checking out the forums in search of a slip on. Glad I looked here before ordering the FMF. I like the look of the Barkers. I'm wondering if I'll need to tune mine or buy the ECM as well. We'll see... |

I have not had any problems without a tune, and know several others who are satisfied as well. I posted up a video on here a few days ago. You can tell it runs pretty strong on the stock tune. I am running the oldest flash as well(for now). |

I went ahead and ordered the ECM last night as well. While I'm working on it, I might as well do it all at once. I guess I had better get the K&N as well. Hopefully by the time I get all of my parts, I can have my new harness installed. I'm going to have a new bike by the time this is all over with. |

Ask twice and you shall receive... http://www.barkersexhaust.com/atv-utv-motorcycle-e xhausts/Motorcycle/Buell/1125-R/View-all-products. html Tim says this was done with a borrowed demo bike from Ray C's HD in Lapeer, MI. And the blue line was witha K & N. No tuning. (Message edited by Freight_dog on March 15, 2010) |

Those results are crazy. Assuming they are legit, there must be some real dark art to exhaust setup, because looking at Barkers and a Jardine side by side, I have no idea why one would show big gains and the other none at all. The same question, with D-adams exhausts, why would his first two designs show no gains, but his third, just a straight through perforated round can with a very similar layout to a Jardine, would gain like 8 hp with more through the midrange? Even Dean didn't expect that. It's crazy! (Message edited by Freight_dog on March 15, 2010) |

Just a little dark art and a whole lot of math James at RayC's ran the Dyno test for us. I like to have different shops run the dyno so it is non biased results. (Message edited by tbarker on March 15, 2010) |

Craiga there should be some pics of black Barkers exhausts here soon. I know Tim has sent a few out for me already and I ordered a few more so they are getting out there. As soon as I get some I'll post them. (Message edited by puzzled on March 15, 2010) |

yah all these exhausts and the gains either makes me think that things were fudged a little bit or buell just really neutered the poor 1125r to meet emissions specs. I hope the latter is the case. It is pretty awesome to see 15 horsepower gains over stock at the rear wheel, SWEET! I cant wait to see what people start pulling out of these engines. It seems like they have a lot of potential. |

Bike is in shop for the 620 checkup and charging system recall. Pics after bake is back. I had the camera out, but after putting the Barker on the bike, i forgot all about taking pics. Went on a little 140 mile ride instead. |

Mine's still stuck in UK Customs! 6 days it's been there and they haven't even sent me a letter to tell me how much I have to pay to see it! |

Only problem to me with the Barker's is the Cackle you hear at a high rpm range. Maybe its just the quality of the vids, but the tone seems to get really weird in that upper range! IDK? |

^^^^The bike actually goes quiet above 75. I was surprised at how quiet the exhaust got as the speed climed. Around town under 3k and it maintains the "Apache" helicopter sound. Above the 3k mark and it starts to make some noise. This was all with the 1 5/8 (Large) core in. I have a 1 1/2" core on its way to try out. I'm thinking that will be "THE" sound I'm after. |

+1 on what Puzzled said. Being that I took one of the videos, its definitely my camcorder that makes it sound like that. |

I have had the Barker for about 2 weeks now running a stock tune and K&N fliter. I dont see any need for a another ecm or tune. I guess it depends on your goals. If your looking for maximum performance I am sure the ebr would help. Personally I am happy with it as is. I dont notice any drop in performance over the stock muffler, and the sound is right where I want it. I use the smaller quiet core for my street riding, and the larger one for my back country riding. Tim told me that the smallest quiet core will probably lose some midrange power, while the larger one(1 5/8"), should retain the midrange and still quiet the exhaust a bit. If you really want a tune, I would wait for Easyrider to get his and make a tune specific to the exhaust. Hopefully he will have a option to flash it over the net soon. |

Mine's just cleared customs.. The bill was about $110 but that's OK I just found out that we're getting a bonus this year and mine's $10k!! - considering I wasn't expecting one that's a pretty good thing. It pays for the bike, all of the accessories and still leaves me with lots to play with. I'll be picking the Barker up from the PO tonight so will probably fit it this weekend... although I know i shouldn't as I haven't had the 620 mile check done yet... But I figure I can always swap it back if I have to.. |

Has anybody actually ran a BACK TO BACK dyno run going from stock to the set-up Barker claims 17 hp gains from? I'm waiting to see if these numbers are really believable before I even consider one of the Barker pipes. I canceled my order for the FMF pipe as I've been waiting a month and still haven't seen it......... |

I will happily do that, even run the different quiet cores. You just need to send me the $ for the dyno time Not everyone can afford the dyno time, I would love to have it done, but just cant justify the cost. |
