Just want to give a big shout out to Chris and everyone at McHenry HD. Bought a black 2009 1125CR low mileage demo over the phone as I'm in CT. Having them install the high bar kit but some parts were backordered. I wanted them to just buy a full kit from Al @ American Sportbike but sales guy wouldn't do it as backorder date was showing 03/05. Called parts guys today (Jason, great guy) and the throttle cable was now showing a 03/12 backorder date. Get Chris on the phone and he's like, yeah, they're installing the kit now bike will be ready soon. I'm like, huh, er, ah, I just spoke to parts and they said....he's tells me he had a 2010 CR that they pulled out of moth balls and stole the parts they needed and my bike will be ready for pickup on Friday!!! I was floored..man he made my day. I can't say enough about these guys and wanted give them their props because they rock. Thanks guys... |

Good, friendly, honest dealer. I wish they were a little closer, but only an hour and a half. Good to hear others having a good experiences as well. Seems odd to mothball a 2010. Unless there were major issues with it. (Message edited by hogzilla on March 10, 2010) |

Hogzilla, Might be just waiting till they clear all those 09 to pull the 10 back out. Or stick it on ebay like other dealers fortunate enough to have them have done recently. Congrats Ride4. How did you like the 848? |

Should have asked how much they wanted for the 2010, would be curious to know, and if its is white, I would really like to know. |

@Hog, I agree...I didn't ask but it looks like the 2010s are fetching higher prices so playing the waiting game is what they may be doing. @Odd, the 848 has an amazing engine and the mods I've made to help ergos (higher bars, nice seat, better rear sets, etc) and the 14T sprocket change have made it more streetable but it's just not the riding position to be in for long stretches. I took out both the 848 and my fiance's little Ninja 250R on Sunday and while I enjoyed both the Ninja put a grin on my face...that's why I'm selling the Duc and getting the Buell (well, that and lots of other reasons but the comfort factor is the biggest). I'll have the 848 on ebay, cycletrader, craigslist, etc. until I get a decent price for it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&item=220567254085&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK %3AMESELX%3AIT |
