does any one know if a 03 city x low seat will fit a 09 city x. are they the same. |

Well for starters, there did not make the City-X in 2003... Yes any standard Lightning (not the "long" models) seat will fit your 2009 City-X. There are a couple of versions of the low seat: the original ones that have a leather look to them, almost shiny and the newer ones that have a textured pattern on them, kind of like a cloth weave. I have found the newer ones to not be as hard, but that could just be because they are newer and not worn out? |

thanks. i am looking for a low one so i can touch flat foot. i saw some one with a 03 lightning and was talking of trading his low seat for a stock one |

Yes, here is a pic of the newer style seat on my fiance's '03 XB9S:
![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/545513.jpg) It's about 1" lower than the standard seat, and about 2" lower than a City-X standard seat...however because it is firmer, it does not squish as much and you will likely find yourself about 1" lower than your City-X seat. |
