So I've been taking some time looking into going the ecmspy route. However before I begin diving too deep, I see a few things that I must get clear before I want to spend anymore time on it. 1: Its down.. No wait its up? So Gunter pulled the DL for ecmspy, but I hear rumors of it coming back online, in even better easier to use form. So whats the deal? 2: What version of ecmspy would one need for an 09 1125cr. As in when did this bike become supported by the software. I was able to locate 1.12.26, is this sufficient? 3: ecmspy for Mono. This looks very interesting, again, no download, whats the deal as I did not see this a couple months ago. 4: Removing Noise Abatement actions. Specifically can I go into the ECM and simply "turn off" the noid. I have de-noided my baby but lit the CEL a few times this weekend. I want to make the ECU forget that it ever had a noid. 5: Wideband sensors. Can you alter the ECU to use a wideband sensor. (OK two wideband sensors) Um OK thats all I can think of. I look forward to any thoughts put forward. Something that would be very nice (not sure if this is in the works) would be ECMSPY-Lite, pull lots of the advanced features, bring it to the core, fuel maps and a few bianry options (binary as in ON/OFF). Wrap it up by providing a way (DIY or VISA ) to easily enable Datalogging and you would not be able to keep these away from us. For data logging the killer app would be a small unit, say deck of cards, hooked up to the bike, maybe under the passenger seat, with a SD card slot. This would be akin to the DJ wideband commander, basically go ride, come home grab the SD card, and pull the files to your workstation. Then run the logs through VE-Analyzer, generate map, upload map - Repeat until happy This would be great for mapping, add some check boxes to kill NOID, maybe some other items... (can't think of any, if you can kill the noid in the ECM and alter the mapping to de-EPA the curve, I'm hump'n in high cotton) (Message edited by eece_ret on March 09, 2010) |

ECM Spy 2.0 instructions are up. I'd guess the program will follow not far behind. BUT...no ECM Spy will...on it's own, will work on the 1125 ECM. You have to get a hold of the guy from Ohio. Note: I don't know which version of Spy you will get from Ohio, but the version 2.0 is a good read no matter what. Mike |
