100 bucks in Panama would keep you relaxed for a good while. |

think of yourself as a jockey and you are balancing on the balls of your feet. Your hands minimally gripping, a relaxed grip. No pumping the bars or using the bars to support your upper body. Your hips and knees are in a state of tension pressing against the balls of your feet as they press against the foot pegs. Foot steering means that your inside leg becomes stiff while receiving your upper body weight. feet and legs pressing against the inside peg, hips shifting to the inside as well. the bike will need to be understeered at the wheel because foot steering generally promotes oversteer. fun stuff. riding as sport bike successfully is not a kick back cruiser experience. |

I just got home from a 2600mile trip on my R. I have a little neck pain from the helmet buffing but otherwise I feel fine. I did notice that the day I did a lot of low speed riding was the hardest. I was tired that night. The higher speed running I let the wind hold me up. I could easily do three times the mileage. My advise is to do some added freeway running. The wind will help hold you up until the muscles you use get into better shape. |
