I wouldn't be surprised if his bike is back on the road today already. On the way back we meandered a bit to get back to hwy-59. Then when we got to Eagle there was a parade going on so were were routed north on hwy-67 (aka: tar snake rondevous), then cut east on hwy-C to hwy-83, then took 83 to 18 and 18 into Waukesha. Not an overly bad route apart from a few little slips on the tar snakes. I'm sure those little slips got the butterflies fully revitalized in Mike's gut, especially with his left handlebar sticking up at about a 45° angle. But he's okay and that's the main thing. How'd the rest of the day's ride go for the rest of everybody? |

Hey everybody, For those of you that didn't make the ride yesterday, HaHa. Was a great day for riding, for most of us at least. Afer Mike's departure with the road, 4 of us continued. (Thanks again to MikeJ and Dyna for giving MikeS an escort home) We were going to head into Eagle to the "Top Secret" lunch spot, but got stalled by the previously mentioned parade. So we took another route and ended up back in Eagle coming from the other way and stopped for lunch. We all headed "home" after lunch. Couple of guys took 59. I took 83 to find a friends house, and then took the really long way home. I finished up the day with about 120 miles. The Southern Kettle Moraine is still one of my favorite local rides. Weren't those tar snakes fun? I seems like they just tarred all those roads like last week. Jerry |

Bomber, He got rolled by the gravel gremlins, not bit by a tar snake. Regardless, at least he aimed for the softer McDonalds bag instead of the white post sticking up out of the ground. MikeS, Glad to hear they found nothing major. Try copying the whole path http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/discus.cgi into your browser at home. Or purge out your browser history and cookie bins. The latest change/upgrade included a redirect to a new endpoint and some ISP's lag, or else your home computer may be looking at the old numerical address. Another way to look at it is the site is still at Badweatherbikers Avenue, but the Zip code has changed. Or something like that. (I think I'll stop before I get accused of confusing the injured. Confusion is a state of mind, and happens to be my occaisional State of residence as well. ) CJ, I'm going to guess she'll diagonal down 151 into Madison. PdC is way down in SW-WI/NW-IL/E-IA, e-i-e-i-o. |

I was thinking of actually taking a run down the River Road since I have not done it yet. Maybe take Hwy 8 straight over to St. Croix area and then hook down along the Mississippi. That would give me roughly an eight hour day on Saturday. Sunday I would hook up with the group and then make a B-line home... Anyone know of any Bed and Breakfasts in Prarie du Chein or Sauk Prarie ??? I will check it out on the web and let you guys know if I find anything decent... |

Sorry to learn of MikeS's mishap but am pleased to hear he survived with all parts in working order. Does this mean that Jerry got to use his First Aid kit or just pass a beer? Sounds like between the tar snakes and gravel it would have been a great day for a dual purpose bike. Oh well, the two go hand-in-hand and the gravel should be history in a few days. Wish I could have made the ride, but it was just a simple matter of priorities. Am tentative on the PDC ride and am passing on the Summerfest gathering but the rest of the year should be fine. |

Bill, what time does the two wheel tuesday crap start out near capitol drive? Not interested in the Brady street deal..too much like the 3rd ward as far as residents are concerned. |

Dyna...After 6:00 PM. Usually, peters out around 8:30, sometimes later. Good Harley Country so the Purple Glide will fit right in!!! Crap, missed the PDC ride today! Oh well...maybe next year. FYI, is compliments of the 3rd Ward, so don't go Dis'n the fine women that frequent the area. LOL edited by nevco1 on June 29, 2003 |

My daughter attends MIAD which is right in the heart of the 3rd. I just wouldnt go hanging out in too many of the bars in the area. Might run into that Indian from the Village people. I wonder who actually went on the PDC ride? Its a long ass way to ride for a burger. |

CJM and Char made it! Along with a bunch of other people. We had a total of 29 riders in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut. Great weather, great roads, only a few mistakes by the leader(me)good food after the ride overlooking the river. All of you that skipped it missed out on a good time. Ride to the edge! Dave |

Blastin', What's the head count for July 5th? We'll probably be there, two adults, possibly two smaller ones in tow, will know by Thursday or so. |

Nobody has respoded by e-mail yet? But with other invites, I'm guessing around ~25 people. I'll post a little later in the week of what we need.

Potato salad maybe????? If we leave before it's all gone we can get the bowl back at a later date. Side topic, where exactly is the 2-wheel tuesday deal? (I know I could probably find it in th archives but it's easier to type than search. ) |
