AW, thanks for reposting the info RE: umbrella valve hole chamfering & oil drain hole enlarging last year. This website & your knowledgeable postings makes it easy for a klutz like me to keep my slowly accumulating high mileage Buells running their best and... stay one step ahead of the dealer's service dept. Jim_W: Nice work! Have you run it yet? What kind of tools are you using? I assume you have a lathe and a mill at minimum. I'd love to get into that kind of a project, I even bought a Taig lathe a few years back, but I just don't seem to have the patience for machine work. I've made some real pretty spacers, though! r-t |

Since Ross asked, here's a pic Jenn hates - if she's lurking on BadWeb and sees this the weddings probably off

Philly, Congratulations! You will soon learn to avoid the, "if she finds out - big trouble" scenarios. That is a great photo though. The wide angle lens skewing the perspective gives a humorous look and she has a devilish grin to make it that much more intriguing. Tell her for us that she has NOTHING to be embarrassed about... other than her choice in a mate. |

What would it take to get one or two or three of these for installation on my bikes before late August? Preferrably the width (left to right) the same as a license plate, and a height (bottom to top) of less than 1" to fit the required area. Highly-reflective Scotchlight type of material would be better. If I can't get these then I'm going with: Tailgaters will be shot Or quite possible: ( Bar-B-Qued HOG anyone?) |

Thanks, guys. If all goes according to plan you'll meet Jenn at Bonneville this year. And yes, I'm an extremely lucky guy. I just hope if we have kids they don't take after me |

Has anyone bought something from Sport Twin here before???Because I ordered a pair of CRG barend mirrors 2 weeks ago and haven't seen them yet.Called them last Friday to get a tracking number and they couldn't give me one because the person in charge of Sport Twin wasn't in that day and they told me to call Monday.Well it's Monday and I called he's still not in today and no tracking number.I've called twice now,I can't believe that only one person can take care of customer service and get me my info. They were suppose to email me a tracking number as soon as it was sent out, well ?????? |

Yeah, that about sums them up. Nothing is free, the savings you see comes out of the "Customer Service" fund. |

I have ordered a couple parts thru Sporttwin & have had no problems at all. I phoned em in & talked to the person. My crossroad bars took just a couple days. For small crap like CRG mirrors I go to a local indy shop. They will meet just about anyones prices & once you give em a little business, a lot of times they will knock another 10% off. |

I should add that I've only bought Nallin Stg 1 heads and a WestTek frame brace from Sport Twin. Both transactions went without a hitch - except for the complete lack of communication. I rotate around to all of BadWeb's sponsors when I need to buy stuff, High Country is up for whatever I need next. |

And Tat always answers the phone, even on Saturdays until noon. Not mention the time he spends talking with new owners. Scott |

Not sure about the rest of you, but I sure miss Battle2Win magazine. Our bike of choice seams not to get much attention in the magazines I find at the cigar store.... Jim |

"Our bike of choice seams not to get much attention in the magazines" Out in the garage last night for a bit and up walks a neighbor's visitor, the visitor rides a 'busa and another guy who usually shows up at the same time rides a TL1000. The 'busa rider's comments went along the lines of "they don't do much with Buells anymore", "yeah I saw the Firebolt", "the TL starts off at 90hp", "I get 150" (I assumed he meant 150mph), "saw a Buell on a dyno race - wide torque", and so forth. Yeah, yeah, whatever dude. I just ride to ride. |

Tom asked: Nice work! Have you run it yet? What kind of tools are you using? I assume you have a lathe and a mill at minimum. Woa, Hold on RT ... I just bought the plans and posted a few pictures. I was extremely impressed with the V-Twin, just wanted to share it. I don't even have a machine shop yet but do have something picked out. Probably end up getting a EMCO Maximat Super 11 lathe and Jet JVM-836 mill. Going to look at a couple this morning matter of fact. -JW:> |
