Today was a beautiful day in Kansas. Is was 63 degrees. I was so happy that I was able to get my bike out of the shed and wash the winter dust off and go for a ride. Last week it was in the teens here and I was freezing my ass off at work. Such a great feeling that spring is just around the corner and riding my great ULY to work everyday. I made a pit stop at Wal-malt and when I was walking out I caught someone ogling over my wonderful ULY. I have only seen one other here in in the Ft. Riley area so most wonder what kind of bike it is. I just love telling them it is one of the Great American bikes of greatness. They are just amazed. It is such a shame that they are going down in history. Here is one to those who love to ride American Bikes. |

I had a good ride from Wichita to Cassoday on Sunday. Didn't see any other Buell's though. Do any of you other Kansas riders ever go to Cassoday on the first Sunday of the month? Perhaps I should clarify that, do any of you even know about Cassoday? |

Went for excellent rides Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, explored dirt roads north of Rossville/south of Holton. Saw a couple Bald Eagles. Sunday, took the 2-lane blacktops to Emporia. Beautiful days!! Saw a red CR here in Topeka the other day (anyone here?) |

We can meet at Cottonwood Falls 0n Hwy 77 there is a Casey gas station on the East side of the road. Meet there at 10:00am on Apr.4th. Cassody is about 45-60 minutes south of there. I will be leaving Manhattan at 7:30 if you want to go from here with me. My cell #785-532-8859 |

I've never done the Cassoday ride (on the specified day), but I ride those roads all summer. We typically meet in Topeka & ride from there to Eskridge to Dover to Alma and then over to Manhattan for lunch usually. We call it our Dover road ride, but you can look up the Stone Fence Scenic Byway too. After that we all split up & head back to our respective towns. For me, that's KC. |
