When I bought my XB12s 5 days after the Buell announcement, my local dealer sent me a letter a week later noting that I would receive a survey from HD, never did receive it, I asked the dealer about it and they said they have nothing to do with it. I was wondering if any one had this experience? As a side note, the salesman at the HD/Buell dealership attempted to sell me the pucks and the passenger pegs. I got a survey when I bought my Ulysses in Feb 2007, but I didn't get one after buying my 1125CR in August 09, and still nothing for buying my 1125R back in October 09. I would hope your bike came with the pucks and passenger pegs installed, thats how they came from the factory! | ||

I also asked the salesman about the free 1 year HOG membership that I got with my new HD several years ago. I got a blank stare back, I guess the Buell owners were never ever welcomed into the fold. | ||

Not only did they not come with them, Jramsey and I waited over 2 hours for the pegs to be installed, I think I could have gotten them on in about 90 seconds, not much to the install. If they come from the factory that way, someone must have robbed them for another bike. My pegs came off another XB on the showroom. I had to make another trip for the pucks which were ordered that day. | ||

The dealer noted a lot of buyers requested the pucks be left off for cosmetic reasons. | ||

Did HD ever give new Buell owners a HOG membership or allow them to be part of the HOG group? I thought I was a 2nd class citizen with the big bore HD crowd when I owned a Sportster. Now that I have a Buell, they won't even wave. | ||

Back in the day you would get a year of BRAG membership, but that died off, some dealers would give a year of HOG instead. I bought 4 Buell's from my local dealer, never got offered HOG, and I am not interested anyway. Oh, ditch the flyscreen, from a distance and at speed they can't tell you apart from a Fatbob.  | ||

hey froggy, remember the 07scg that you almost followed over the cliff, i had to put the pucks on that. i don't know whether all the bikes were like that for 07 though. | ||

The pucks slowly trickled onto all models starting with 06 Uly. 2008, all XB's had pucks. | ||

I received a survey asking about my last service in Feb today. I responded that Gainesville Buell is the only dealer I will do business with- they're worth the two hour drive. I said they have professionals I respect, and that I will continue to have my services done there until there's no Buell parts left. I finished up with "FUHD". | ||

Got the letter to expect a survey. Haven't seen a survey yet. Nor anything from HD about the 1 year national HOG membership. Figured all it would be was a little card with a number on it but still. Wonder if they're nervous I'd not be nice since they canned my salesman? I would still be nice. Hell, I warned them of someone using their photo in a likely bogus ad over the weekend. | ||

We did not receive a survey after buying our Uly right after Harley pulled the plug on Buell. Too bad for them, other than the fact that we were now bringing home an orphan, the whole buying experience was one of the more positive Buell experiences we'd had since we brought our first Buell home in '04. I would have honestly reflected that on the survey. Our salesguy was one of the better we've dealt with, he ended up buying a Uly as well. | ||

i bought my 09 city x in aug 09 and never got a survey either, but was told to expect one and a year hog membership. i went back 3 times over 3 months about the hog membership and the answer i got was that it takes awhile to come in. well its march and my year membership would be almost over soon if i had one. i went to dealership events and rides and got lots of dumb looks for even being there |
