I just received my 2010 Lightning, and I am in the process of removing certain items, and I notice there are extra pieces to the belt guard that were not on my 2004. Can someone verify that this aluminum piece that was behind the black lower guard won't cause any issues by removing? Also, I removed the hand guards, and wanted to know if the top/bottom "nubs" can be removed, or if they hold the brake/clutch levers in place. Thanks.

Belt guard - Yes that piece can be removed, it just provides additional protection. The hand guards - No, those bolts hold the levers in place. You can swap them out for the bolts that are used on the Firebolt and other non-handguard models. |

The sticker can come off also. Once you've been warned, the sticker is obsolete. LOL |

Is your brake fluid low? (actually don't know what constitutes as "low" in those little windows... mine's always filled to the very top). ~SM |
