We've been snowed in bike-wise since the 2nd week of December. Yesterday I finally was able to take the 06' for a ride. Hit the starter and the lump went right into a nice idle. Rode for a good 30 miles. Fan came on at shutdown with the swingarm oil indicating 180F. Temps in the lower 40's. Singing "Spring is in the Air". I'm thinking I should oil my throttle cables

Just hit spring here in New Mexico. Played hooky (sp?) yesterday and did my 500+ mile Silver City "deer strike" ride. Some great twisties and great weather. --Doc P.S. It'll get nasty and windy here soon... |

ElectraGlider, I don't think you need to just oil your throttle cables... I think you need a girlfriend. |

I got out last weekend. It was a bit chilly, but I found a place along the way to stop and warm up. FYI so no one has to ask, the cord hanging off the side is for heated gear. |

Mid fifties today so took my first spring ride and boy did that feel good. The Uly was running better than I remember. Hit 20,000 miles so I just dumped the oil and I'm getting ready to go fill her up again. Nice to be able to work in the garage with the door open again. |

Got the Uly on the road yesterday - 8C the snow is still around but streets and highways are clear. Three weeks earlier than last year. Joe Edmonton, AB Canada (Message edited by Joe_Solo on March 07, 2010) |

For anyone thinking that is my forearm, naw, just a cut and paste job. You gotta wonder what freaky drugs a guy would take to cause the veins to grow huge like that???? (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on March 08, 2010) |

When I left Knoxville for Daytona Wednesday at noon it was 32F. When I got to Atlanta it was 38F, passing Macon Ga it was 50F, ten minutes later it was dark and back in the 30's. 28F Thursday am in Southern Ga when I left in the morning for Tampa.
The throttle is not the problem with that arm! Dude, you would cause damage with just one girlfriend! |
