No one ever dreamed all the street riders wanting race parts would place thousands of orders. i sure did! the minute i realized they werent going to require a race license for alot of the stuff i saw that coming lol |

I'm with you - I'd never underestimate the desire for "race" bits on street bikes |

If "no one ever dreamed all the street riders wanting race parts would place thousands of orders" then someone was EXTREMELY short-sighted. I figured that was THE business model. ac |

Respect for Eric - hell yes! Look at all he has done - certainly more than most of the persons i know. He built up a company - built a great bike - is fighting through the WORST economic downturns anyone younger than 80 in the USA has seen - and is still in supporting those who have supported him through EBR. Go Eric - and those who are sour grapes - what have you accomplished that make him not worthy of your respect? Respect is earned - he earned mine before i bought the bike. I think it is way cool that we can actually talk to the person who made it happen - can't call Mr Yamaha or Davidson or Harley. Eric - thank you for the great bike! |

FYI, some of EBRs race bits are CHEAPER than when Buell racing was selling the exact same items. Most are the same price and I don't recall seeing any that are more expensive than the now defunct Buell Racing. |

wow, this one made for some interesting reading, and although i'll keep the most of my opinions regarding the hd/buell disaster to myself, i'll say that court seems to have a REALLY good handle on the situation. HD should simply be ashamed of themselves period.Erik Buell DID NOT run the company into the ground,......not even close, he was stabbed in the back by a shortsighted, profit hungry, american corporate traitor. If there was any single financial decision i'd like to look closer at the process of aquiring mv agusta, to the sell for a HUGE loss.Timing is everything and between corporate and hd finace, they buggered up the works all on their own. The only disagreement I would have with any of court's comments is the replacement of the sportster with the R/CR. It never would happen, the sportster is now and always has been harleys #1 seller. I am actually a sportster addict, I have 4 in my stable now, and am GLAD AS HELL that buell managed to get away from the tractor power plant. The new engine is what drove me to the R in the first place. I've always lusted after buells, but It's always been my thinking that a "sport" bike such as buell needs to beat my sportsters in ALL functional categories. And frankly, the old school buells were not up the task. I am not knocking the older buell's at all, it's just that my go fast sporty kept up with most buells just fine on the straights (fuggetabout the corners)but speed to me, is a functional category so no go,............................................... ......ENTER THE 1125R, all bets are off, I HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THOSE MACHINES. I still have my sporties and love them to death, but I now have a TRUE AMERICAN SPORTBIKE and am proud to be part of the buell community. |

I'd like to see the Sportster that could have kept up with my much modified XB12R in the straight lines or the corners but then again the Firebolt couldn't keep up with my 1125R in a straight line but there is not much between an 1125R and a Firebolt in the corners, in fact sometimes I think I am/was quicker ion the corners on the Firebolt to be honest. I had an 1200 Sportster at the same time as the XB12R, nice bike for unhurried days |

I've never ridden a Sportster but my dad has a 07, I let him take out my 09 uly last fall and when he got back he said "thought this thing had the Harley engine in it". I told him its the same but different, he wants the different part in his sportster now. Said it was way faster than the sportster. I find after riding the 1125 and switching to the uly I really run the uly hard to have fun with it. |

dirtyjohn, there always has to be one of "those guys" and apparently youre him huh? Why would you think i referred to my go fast sportster, as well as "some" older buells? well, it was to avoid the "my bike is faster than your bike" contest. So anyway, I'm interested to hear what your xb could have possibly had done that wasn't also done on my 00' 04' or 07 sporties? You have some sort of magic potion that makes your xb special? because there is next to nothing available to you that wouldn't work on mine. FWIW, there are alot of "heavily modified" sportsters running over buells stock 103 hp, and that is before a hot shot. |

just so we're all clear Stock buell is faster than stock sporty---no question at all. stock 1200 hd approx.67 hp i don't need to tell you guys the buell #'s but I can tell you there are plenty of 600 i-4's that thought the same thing and got wasted light to light.even one newbie on an r1, but he couldn't ride worth a squat, so that don't count. |

Could have bought my case covers from TaylorMadeRacing. But bought em from EBR instead so that the money goes to his new concern, and future efforts. He doesn't make anything I want right now except the carbon fiber covers TMR made for his bikes. I'm still deluded enough to think I'll have the money one day for a clone 1125RR from him. As well as that sexy exhaust! So. Might as well donate/purchase things from him. |

Kaotikevo - My 2007 model XB12R had the usual stuff, free spirits belt tensioner from new, race ECM, K&N equal length headers, HP reverso can or Micron system after trying out the Remus can, flowed heads, high pistons, Maxton front and rear suspension, master cyl and 8 piston calliper from an 1125R, wavy disc, competition brake pads, custom paint, carbon fibre frame protectors the list goes on - and was the best bike I had owned in 35 years until I bought my 1125R, my track times around my local circuit (Oulton Park in Cheshire in UK - very twisty) and the looks of astonishment on the riders of the majority of Jap bikes when we all got back to the pits says it all - apologies for thread hijack Can't wait for the delivery of the EBR pump gas race ECM for my 1125R, I can then fit the K&N filter to compliment the Remus can (Message edited by Dirty_john on March 04, 2010) (Message edited by Dirty_john on March 04, 2010) |

Sent: Wednesday, March 03, 2010 8:43 AM To: info@ebracing.com Subject: EBR logo Mr Buell, I have an 08 1125 with the lower fairings installed. I would like to paint your new logo on my fairings or have a decal made that will fit the entire length of it. I didnt want to break the law and use it without permission. Maybe its petty or no big deal but I wanted to make sure it was ok. Thanks for building my bike #152, its a great machine. Thank you Shawn From: "Info" <info@ebracing.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 3, 2010 5:01:44 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: RE: EBR logo Sure, Shawn, you can do that to your personal bike. You just can't do it for commercial business like doing others for money. Now I need to get the EBR logo blown up to about 2 feet |

On the EBR Order form there is a notation of "coupon code" - does anyone have experience with said code, and how do you get to be so deserving?? |
