We recently received a number of Carbon Fiber Chin spoilers. But with all the stuff we've been stocking up on recently, we're hurting for space, these are fairly large and I need to move some of these before coming up with my final storage solution. Our warehouse is bursting. These are JUST the raw X1 CF chin spoiler, they don't have the HW kits, but they are the real deal stuff, autoclaved prepreg lightweight good ones, not the garbage that is coming out of Asia these days. We don't have HW kits in stock at present, I'm working on it. The problem is that the spacers are being shipped from HD with the wrong part in the bag, so we keep receiving and returning the same parts, over and over. We'll get some soon. So, the first 20 spoilers will be at a mere $99. The full kits with the HW package sold from Buell for over $400, but we'll sell the raw ones for the month of March at only $99, while inventory lasts. Chin Spoilers with kits will be $185, but delivery will be delayed until we can get the full mounting kits. See http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5996-Raw.html Act fast, get a good deal and help me with my space crunch! |

Al, One last question... Any chance the OTHER carbon parts for the X1's will go on sale...? Is there a deal that can be made IF we are looking to do a chin spoiler, fly screen, Undertray, and a front fender???? Just curious... Thanks Matt M. |

Also, I have a smaller number of Buell Rear Huggers for 99-02 tubers that I wouldn't mind moving a few of for space reasons as well. I have fewer of them, and they're smaller, so I won't sell these for less for long. Our similar/equivalent American Sport Bike part (5720, here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/5720.html )that has a different shaped belt guard normally goes for $244.95, I'll sell these rear huggers for $150, but they aren't online, so if you want one, either order the "Special" online here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/Special.html or call the order in at 760-727-2333. The web site doesn't charge the card. Here's a picture of a CF X1 that has both the chin spoiler and the fender discussed here:

We can deal. I didn't get any of the other Buell items (i.e., S1/X1 front fenders, X1 or M2 flyscreens, pulley covers, lower belt guards, etc), but I did score a small number of S1 parts (heat shields, Flyscreens, tail cowls) that we can discuss. Other American Sport Bike tooled items (i.e., front fenders, undertails) aren't part of this, but again, we can talk if it helps me move a few of these items to get some shelf space back. PRice reductions on those parts will definitely not be as dramatic, though. If you have a bike with a chin spoiler already on it, this one will bolt right up. Al |

Man is that tempting, mine is starting to get some age discoloration. Al and Co. have some top notch CF. I've been running the under tail piece for almost 10 yrs. now I guess and it's still in great shape. Al, what color is the fiber in the hugger? Just wondering if it would match the '99 CF editions. Not that it would matter much it's so faded but thought I'd ask. Thanks |

It's the normal black CF. If you have a Buell CF hugger on your bike, this is the very same part. Al |

I'll prolly be calling (for the chin and hugger). Too bad I tore up my LP carbon hugger or I'd just pass this one by. Wonder if you've got great price on a S1 heat shield too? My Buell CF parts (X1 front fender and lower belt guard) are looking a lot like poo these days though... maybe the altitude and more UV exposure? Any suggestions on how to make the new stuff last besides painting it black? (Message edited by littlebuggles on March 08, 2010) |

Any suggestions on how to make the new stuff last besides painting it black? A coat of good quality automotive clearcoat with flex agent made my sunfaded CF front fender look better than new - and has held up for quite some time. Good quality CF, like all the CF that Al at American Sport Bike sells and the later Buell stuff responds well to this. Kinda funny that the coat of clear probably weighs about the same as the bare CF part- 1313 |

Al, Will this fit my S1? I don't have an issue making the hardware. |

Haven't been here in a bit... yes, We've still got some huggers for $150. THe chin cowl will fit an S1 with the right mounting HW. Have seen plenty of S1's with them. THe spacers are holding up the HW kits, but we have plenty of the front brackets. It probably wouldn't be too hard to fab up the parts to make it fit. This hugger will NOT, though, unless you have the newer aluminum swingarm. |

Yup, same part, different material. Just get the $99 chin since you have the hardware for your current part. |
