I was wondering if anyone can help me with a little problem I'm having. I made up some rear signals out of an old pair of bullet signals that use bulbs, now I no that L E D lights will flash faster when added to an older bike that has bulbs but I didn't think it would be problem going the other way . Does anyone have any easy fix for me, it's not a big deal but if there's a way to fix it I would be much appreciative. |

you may still have the get the load leveler the was required with the older bikes. For what its worth I just changed my rears to a smaller led signal and it flashes fast. I kind of like it I think its more obvious |

Paul, the cluster for the 1125 bikes are specifically calibrated for use with LEDs turn signals in both the front and rear for 08/09 bikes. You can use LEDs on a bike that uses bulbs if you have some sort of additional load in line with the LEDs because LEDs have a smaller electrical load which can be made up by an external load. You can't go in reverse because bulbs are an increase in load and you can't add a device to take a portion of that load away. If you are dead set on adding bulbs you could order a 2010 cluster which is calibrated for bulbs in both the front and the rear. You would have to put some sort of load circuit into the front turn signals though because the 2010 bikes have a module that is attached to the harness for said purpose. |

is it going to cause any issues if i just leave it,besides it flashing fast, cause i can live with that i just don't want to cause any damage to anything else. |

No, it won't cause any issues. The cluster has built in short circuit protection and the increased load of a bulb doesn't even come close to a short circuit condition. |

I'd be willing to bet money that you have low turn signal fluid. |

I have got bulb indicators on the rear of my 08 R ( got fed up with the LED ones failing ) - they've worked OK from the off without problems. What bulbs are you using ? Too low a wattage will probably cause them to flash quicker as there is less resistance in the circuit - if you fit aftermarket LED indicators onto your Buell they will also flash too quickly unless they have ballast resistors built in. |
