Ok so I only got 700ish miles on the 1125 before Michigan let winter loose. I come on here everyday reading crap about this dealer sucks, this bike is a pile of junk, blah blah blah. It's killing me guys we need to see more pics of people running at the track and and stories that don't end in the bike broke down. I know the truth hurts but damn. |

I work in surgery. It's really easy to start thinking that everyone needs surgery cause most of the people I see every day are getting operated on. When you first start out in that business you have to come to grips with what you are seeing are mostly aberrant situations. With almost 10,000 1125 based motorcycles made, there's only a minuscule fraction of those owners posting here. My 1125 is a race only bike. It's great. I love it. Just read around the chaff. |

Slow, I agree. I recently picked up my new CR and am working thru a few small issues. Nothing major, but when reading all the threads of problems owners are having, it becomes a bit depressing. In no way am I disputing the validity of the posted problems. Like you said, good news would be nice too. This past weekend we have a nice weather day here in Germany and I was able to put some miles on my CR. I wanted to post some pics up, but I wasn't able to crack the code. Even at low res, I kept getting the error that they were too big. BTW, I am loving your username. |

Yep, My Buells run great. I rode them all this weekend. No issues. Some people must be buying their first machine and expect perfection for the life of the machine. It can get pretty depressing listening to all the crying all the time. I recommend that buyers also buy manuals.....and read them. Best of luck. |

Mine also runs great , but it had its moments.... Like Duggram said.... most 1125 owners aren't on here... only true enthusists and people looking for answers to issues they have... I would imagine the majority of owners are out riding around enjoying themselves.. |

Had mine out yesterday, ran great! I would look at it this way, its gotta be better than what you had. I'm still on my original engine! Even with all the crap that I went through I still like the bike, and remember I traded a Honda to get another Buell. The only thing that you will have a problem with will be the leaky clutch slave, get that fixed and I think you will be happy. Don't forget to buy some stuff from EBR. |

It was warm enough I could ride mine with a bit more spirit yesterday. The new Mich 2CT on the front feels great...so much better than the BT-003RS. And I saw a Unicorn jump over a rainbow! |

I should have taken a couple pics of 2 trophies last race weekend at Willow. 5 races, 2 trophies. Already given the trophies to Antelope Valley to display at the shop or I'd take a picture. Now where's that 1125R... gotta get it ON the track before too long (it's only money) There's PLENTY for me to beyotch about - EBR's ECU or ECMSpy ZTL Chain conversion Squids Stunting on public roads Illegal (fill in the blank) Politics Religion Society Recreational chemicals Criminal Justice Barroom fights Choice of beer smoking or not "Foreign bikes" Crappy bosses Crappy employees Crappy neighborhoods Bad yards Bad plumbing Cracking concrete Angry ex wives Not enough money for what I WANT Just don't get me started talking about the EVILS of "LITE" beer, Drink a full-bodied brew or GO HOME. |

It's so much easier to complain about the one thing that goes wrong than to appreciate the thousands of things that go right each day. My Blast always starts and runs like a scalded dog. I haven't owned my 1125cr very long (about 600 miles), but those have been great. What do I complain about? Mostly, I complain about complaining. |

To Slow and All, I agree, but most of the time, you will find reason for the forum to exist for painful events. you don`t go to find help and all is fine with your wife... not yours.. in general term ) BUT i really agree Hope all is fine. Nice day here in Texas Houston, Went for 3 miles run and was feeling like riding the bike. I do ride my 1125 everyday for work, groceries. We have an IceHouse bar on west alabama, I went for a beer last time with my 1125, coming back from a meeting... Harley guys were watching me like.. laughing a bit... Oh Well, I am from France, riding American, 2 Buells xb9s and 1125r for many reasons. 1/ You live here.. then support the country , the spirit 2/ Wanted a bike that was mixing, tradition, spirit and technology and fun... 3/ Geez we are in Texas.. let`s do it! OK guys, hope you all well. Woke up sharp today... go for a run... crank your beast and ride! Max The Fun Realtor |

IF only I could wax on about the magnificence of my Buell. However, there is the issue of the brake light switch cables coming unplugged avery couple thousand miles. Obviously this bike is junk. Seriously though, I love this bike. I have been riding for quite some time but I have yet to find something that just makes me smile all of the time. I have ridden some fun bikes but all of them have had their particular sort of fun. My CR is always fun and there just isn't any other word for it. I have always radically modified my bikes mechanically but have had no desire to do so with the 1125. I am hammering out some new body panels for it but that will be the extent of my customization. |

You have lots of great miles to look forward to, Ohsoslow. I've owned my 1125 for over 2 years and the odo shows 27K now. I'm as excited about riding it today as the day I picked it up from the dealership. I've been quiet on the 1125 board lately, because it has been invaded by strange fellas with axes to grind and and egos to puff. If you come in here and say something positive about EBRacing or the 1125, then you're a Buell-aide drinker. I'm just thoroughly enjoying this bike and I am good with that. The "tear down artists" are not able to ruin it for me. Don't let them get you down. |

Even those who complain about the bikes seem to like them. It's mostly that the sale/service experience for many people (myself included) is /so bad/ that it detracts from the bike. Being directly lied to by dealerships shouldn't be part of the "experience" and it is for far too many people. |

Syonyk, I think some new Buell owners aren't very realistic in their ownership expectations. I had some reservations about buying a Buell knowing they were no more. But I do most things myself. No, I'm not a motorhead/gearhead or anything. But I can read a service manual. But when it comes down to 'bang for the buck' I think I got a great investment. I use that term loosely because its still a motorcycle. Unless I bought it to sit in a garage, covered to protect it, its going to decline in value. But I'm going to ride the hell out of it and have fun on it. I am blessed with an awesome HD Dealer. They look after me well and I've got no complaints after dealing with them for 3 years. In fact, my biggest problem to buying an HD in the first place were the horror stories I've heard about HD dealers. But these guys must be one of the exceptions to the rule. That being said, I'll do the vast majority of the work on this bike myself. I knew that when I went into it. I ride 13,000-15,000 miles a year in the upper midwest. So I'm sure I'll have issues altho I hope I don't. But I love the bike. I'm going to have a ton of fun with it. Thats my payback. |

50°+ here in the sunny Denver area today and while I have spent too much time in the office (in my opinion), my ride in and my lunch hour have been on my 1125R. Let's just say that, as an owner of 2 Buells over the last few years, the fun to failure ratio favors the fun side overwhelmingly. -Tod |

I bought Peggy for $6500.00 brandy new.She has been rode hard and put up wet and she still loves me.2200 miles on the first rear tire with metal showing.A couple of puke and dies before 1000 miles.Moisture in IC.If you can find a better bike for the money go buy it but I honestly can't.I rode jap I4's for most of my life and will not talk bad about them but my last bike was a Ducati and I really am fond of the 1125R.Each to his own I guess. |

My turn signals broke. I need a cluster that came in yesterday. Minor problems that were/are getting fixed under warranty. I'll have a pleasant ride tomorrow to get my cluster replaced. I absolutely love my 1125R. Amazing handling, great fellow Buell owners. I'm totally happy. |

I only got to put 1200 miles on my R before I totaled it last week but I have to say it was an amazing machine. The only thing I had to take it back to the dealer for was the original battery died out quick. Got it replaced under warranty and no other issues. I'm really gonna miss that bike. |

My ongoing experience with Buell as been that of a love affair, actually more like a healthy obsession. If not riding I can be found in the garage tinkering or just plain staring at it (them), which has developed into a morning coffee ritual. I have a 2003 XB9S Lightning which has never given me an ounce of trouble, just endless smiles. Because of last fall's announcement I made sure to swoop up another of these awesome motorcycles while I still could. It was with the purchase of my new CR in December that I found you guys. Reading all the "Gone Wrong" threads was disconcerting, even overwhelming at times, but more so educational as for things to watch out for. Nothing major to report so far, just more smiles. I learn more from you guys than reading the Owner's Manual cover to cover. Love my Buell's!!! Proud owner! Great forum! You guys rule! Peace!
