I know we are all (mostly all of us) loving out 1125s, but I thought it would be fun to learn what fellow BW members consider their most fun bike ever. I'll go first. I do really enjoy my CR, but I haven't had it long enough for it to qualify. For me, it is a toss-up between my childhood 5 hp Briggs & Stratton mini-bike and my 03 SV650N. Let's hear yours! | ||

I've only owned 3 so far: XB9SX, XB12R, and my current Ducati 848. I'd have to say the XB9SX...both the Buells drove by telepathy but that XB9SX was just silly fun. However, my answer will most likely be replaced shortly when my 09 CR arrives...assuming I don't experience a ton of problems with it. | ||

1980 Yamaha RD350LC. I don't think they were ever sold in america. Crazy acceleration, and awesome brakes. On a tight twisty road or in town it would gives the big bikes of the day a real scare. Wish I still had it. My xb12Scg is as fun , my CR scares me at the moment | ||

My first bike was a 1963 Vespa 150 Super. Then a Honda VT1100. Then a 2005 Harley XLl200C, on to a 2006 Harley Nitetrain, and followed by a 2004 Harley Roadglide. I have only had my 08 1125R for two months, and out of all of those bikes my 1125 is hands down my all time favorite. The Vespa was pretty damn fun though. I got it up to 70mph going down Burnside and up over the bridge, going that fast on something that weighs so little and has an 8" wheel is scary as hell. | ||

1324 & Ride, I was able to test ride an XB12S when they came out here in Germany and I loved it. I had recently purchased a new ZX10R so I wasn't in the market, or I would have been a Buellite sooner. Mitch, I have always wanted an RZ350, but now they are too "collectible". | ||

I can't speak for prices over in Deutschland, but XB prices are in the toilet in the states. You can find some insane deals! | ||

Toss up between a '67 Bultaco Pursang and a '76 Bultaco Astro. But then I really like my 1125R race bike!! All the others I've owned don't compare. Although my FJR commuter bike is really comfy. | ||

Wow, what a hard question to answer, and there is no ONE answer for me. My 1st gen SV650 would be high on my list. Mr Buell sits next to it, and I still find myself taking it out pretty regularly. The Kaw Avenger A-7 I loved and it served me well at a young age. I was told it was the first titled in PA. I would be remiss not mentioning a well-used CB350 or a Kaw 650SR. | ||

Many Moons Ago, the first street bike I had was a suzuki GS550 that had been cafe'd. Clip-ons, no muffler to speak of, no license, no title, no turn signals, no horn, but the thing was so damned loud that you didn't ever need the horn. I got it from a friend that owed me $100, and couldn't pay. He either wouldn't or couldn't remember where he got it.... Square tires, marginal brakes, and I think it had oil in it. I remember ripping a$$ around west campus in Austin at 3AM setting off every car alarm on the street as I went by. Now, it would slow, scary, and career threatening to ride, but it was fun. R | ||

I gotta say my 2002 m2 that's built up is my favorite that I have the most fun with . It feels like I'm cheating on it when I ride my 1125r hahaha but it's fun to! | ||

Had a 5HP Taco minibike - but my FIRST LOVE was my Yamaha 80 when I was 15 1/2 (in the late 60s). Rode the snot out of that bike. My first "taste" of independence. It was stolen out of a market parking lot. CB360 after that in the late 70s LOADS of fun on the little bikes. Had a Suzuki 90 (2-stroke) that I used to ride from LA out to El Mirage on weekends. Had to take back roads because it wasn't freeway legal... but I was a kid. | ||

Wish I still had it. " I had a 76 RD350. That was one awesome little bike. Hell...that bike would give some of the big bikes a run for their money up to about 70-90 mph. | ||

Most fun: 1991 Yamaha Tz 250 - much smoother than '89 model. I'm racing the 1125r now.. and it's moving up the list....after the mods. XB12R is the best street bike. | ||

The 1125CR is my 3rd and most enjoyable bike. My first bike was a 1st gen Vmax. Enjoyed the power and V4 sound. Hated the 580lb dump truck chassis. My 2nd was a Honda X11 (naked Blackbird). It had plenty of power and handled well for a 490lb sport bike. Then comes the 1125. So light, balanced and flickable that I will never think about anything in my past again. Although I would love to park a gen 2 vmax next to it in the garage.  | ||

i had a couple dirt bikes when i was a kid, and have some good memories. i've owned a couple of HD's, and have one now. i put some 30,000 miles on my current fatboy in the first 3 1/2 years after buying it. it serves a specific duty now. i seldom ride it by myself anymore, however, the wife and i have vacationed on it the past 3 summers. i love that bike. i joined the buell family 2005 with the purchase of an x1. this is, without a doubt, the most fun bike i have ever owned. i can still go out and just sit and stare at it. it still makes my face hurt when i ride it for very long. you can't slap the grin away. i've tinkered with it, accessorized it, and wrenched on it since day one, and have no regrets. MY FAVORITE BIKE EVER ! ! ! I'll never sell it. now, i have an 1125cr. this is another grin inducing machine. with only 700 miles logged so far, i can't really say yet. i do know it's so damn powerful, it has scared me more than once. sumbitch is fast ! ! | ||

I rode that bike through 3 stators in 94Kmi. I have travelled on a near dead battery many a time. With 300 miles on my CR I am respecting the clubman low position as this bike clearly has the ability to throw you back. Any further up might stretch your biceps as your upper body tips back. Right now the Best Bike title is my S1. If the CR holds up near as well as the S1 it will have earned the best bike I have ever owned title. I have enjoyed ALL my bikes over the years but i'd have to say the street-legal supermoto is the most fun you can have on the backroads, track and even some light off-road riding. It's sucks on long trips though :-) | ||

You can turn a Blast into a master of the goat trails and twisties - especially now that I have the front end dialed in on the commuter, with the Works shock in the rear. The CR - I'm nowhere near its potential yet, I can manage 20 over on the posted turns easily, however, the bike is so fast and agile that its not really leaning that hard to do that good a job, which tells me I have more to learn and practice ahead - that I like! - lol EZ | ||

My last bike, 2007 Triumph Speed Triple 1050! Hopefully once the CR is sorted it will be back to 'Happy Day's' again |
