Did anyone catch American Thunder last night? They had the Vincent Black Shadow S prototype on last night (sort of funny...British Marque, made in America). Other than the radiators, I think it looks OK. They also had a test ride of the XB9S. a nice review, but the rider (forgot his name) mentioned that the Lightning has a 5 gallon tank (news to me ). And the closing shot had him taking off with his blinker on |

AND he pointed to the right side swing arm and said that's where the oil is kept. Did you catch his comments about the race kit? Modest hp increase but a broader power band made it worth it, he said. Plus better sound. |

He did mention that the oil was stored in the front of the swing arm, but the camera guy couldn't get a clear shot of it .

yea, I thought that swing arm comment was funny but I was so excited that Buell was actually getting good pub that I didn't mind. I was torn by the comments since he made it sound like the "S" model was a step-up from the "R". I have an "R" and prefer it best. Both are equally cool. Of course the guy didn't say anything about how H-D should give Buell a new liquid-cooled engine so Erik could start a new category of bikes.

I think this was the first American Thunder I actually watched (IIRC, Greg White (i think that's his name) had mentioned that they would have the Vincent on it, which is why I tuned in...). The only other time I saw anything about Buell was some type of BRAG event, a nice 2 minute spot (or so it seemed) |

It was really great seeing such an upbeat review of the XB9S! I wish I had recorded it. |

Can someone tell me what American Thunder is and when it is on? I'm really good at watching TV, maybe I'll give this show a try. |

Unless you are die hard HD fanatic, I wouldn't waste your time... But, that said, it's usually on Tuesdays around 7:30ish (Greg's garage usually throughs off the exact time schedules on Two Wheel Tuesdays) |

I recall they test rode the Cyclone a few years back. They did a compare-contrast versus the Sportster Sport. The comments on the race kit and fuel tank indicate a lack of homework. They are still using info from the tube frames. |

I liked it better with the air cooled original style motor. The RC51 motor and radiators ruin the bike. |

I agree. Radiators are for women. |
