I just got mine and i am not truly impressed. I think they will protect the motor for sure but the fit is a different story. Stator side fits great, clutch side is way off IMO. I am still glad I bought them I just wish they would have fit better. |

I have fooled with it a little bit but got fed up with it. It dosent leak oil so I have left it alone. Although it is driving me crazy it fits like that. The stator side fits great.

ya white79bu hate to tell you but that is a rev a like xtreme6669 said. you can tell by the pegasus symbol on the clutch cap. if the pegasus is pointing to the rear its a rev a and if its pointing to the front its rev b. |

yes bc the pegasus logo is facing to the front. the pic you had looked like the peg was facing rear which is a rev a. so u have a rev a correct? |

It's not just the pegasus direction, the REV B has the big black aluminum puck as opposed to the little plastic puck on the REV A. |

so you have the rev a which the case slider is made for rev b |

My clutch cover installed pretty easily but the angle of the cover around the bolt holes is different and as you tighten the bolts they will cut into the cover a little. I was a little nervous they would crack but there isn't too much torque on them so it wasn't too bad. The stator cover had too much excess surrounding the oil lines and when I installed them the cover got hung up on the lines which caused an oil leak. I trimmed down the cover and it fits much better but I haven't had a chance to take it out yet so I can only hope the leak is fixed now.

Service manual states 97in/lbs so that converts to about 8ft/lbs. That's what I torqued mine to. |

Rev A has the Pegasus facing rearwards; Rev B has the Pegasus facing forwards; Not sure about Rev C. Mine face forward so I guess I have B or C. (Message edited by jeepinbueller on March 03, 2010) |

The first person to get "the fix" was one of our BWB members in England. Seems like Spring of 09, I JUST got mine fixed a few months ago. Bllueman, I would GUESS you have RevB. Zack |

I'm at work now and as far as RevA etc, there are 2 Revs of cover - Originally(RevA) the cover was R0029.1AM - 2008 parts book. 2009 and 2010 parts books show the cover as R1029A.1AM. I don't THINK the "fix" was out before the 09 parts books came out. R1029A.1AM is the current cover. edit> AND the "fix" ie the piston and liners is/are NOT included with the cover, just puck and o-rings for retention. i remember reading on here awhile ago that dealers were only replacing the cover with the new one with the bigger puck if there was excessive scoring on the inside of the cover if not they were just replacing the guts behind the cover. |

Just got UPS right now!!! Excited like christmas. HA! Install was a cinch. A little more than 15min because I was muttering/praying for it to not leak after all the comments on-board here on leaks from stator/clutch covers. I'm blessed. Didn't leak to begin with, and doesn't now. Just got back from 5 min iddle/warm-up, and 30min ride w/occasional 8,000rpm's, and speeds of 85mph. I know. Not fast. But on an Army base You sometimes have to judge priorities in regards to Soldiers/MP's getting your @$$. The only caveat/saved round on these covers is... Some slight fit-ment on a tab of carbon fiber around rim on stator side that needing dremel-ing. Took time. Looks great. I'd post pics. But looks like the other perfect fit TMR carbon covers. Matched up to my 30T torx bolts on my 09 CR perfect. Used inch/lbs torque wrench. 10NM/89inlbs. While tighten-ing. When You hear creaking/small cracking. Keep going. Go slow. Just the Kevlar/Carbon Fiber being flattened by the T Fasteners. No worries. Wait for the Torque-wrench to indent(ka-chunk), and You are golden. Bought em from EBR instead of Taylor Racing. Figured that since EBR gets em from them. We all win. TMR gets money, and so does EBR. And I get added protection, and good looks(IMO). If You aren't as anxious about the $300.00 as You are the install. Don't be. It's almost plug-n-play. Get em. (Message edited by 1125CaffinatedRacer on March 03, 2010) |
